  • Ideal apartment

"Everything was just right - location, layout, comfort, quiet, assistance. No pretending there was no short rental going on - we collected the keys from the concierge, and the block's handyman promptly replaced a light globe on request. My wife was ill and I had to work - she could't have had a better place to recover. Highly recommended"

  • Very Nice and Convenient Short Term Rental

"This unit was perfect for our short stay in the city (5 days). Close to everything needed, rental car, subway, museum and dining. Quiet, safe and easily accessible. Would recommend and would stay again."

  • No surprises is a very good thing

"I am an ex-NYer who came back for business and pleasure for 3 weeks last month. I usually stay with friends but not for a period this long. I saw this unit online and did my first HomeExchange rental. I was extremely pleased with following: 1) owner and his orientation to apartment and building services and his guidebook- very hands on and helpful, even with my bags both coming and going also; 2) unit- it looks exactly as you see it on the listing- very light, bright; 3) Location is perfect in mid-town where I needed to be- 30 min walk to theatre district and Grand central subways are 5 minutes away; 4) cleanliness-I am vary wary of bugs given my prior NY history. Not 1 bug did I see in the unit or building!!; 5) internet worked like a charm; 6) large closet with lots of hangers; 7) it's on a street, not avenue so relatively quiet; 8) People in the building that I met were nice and they even had a December holiday party in the lobby for the residents and staff- very well attended (this did not happen in building when I lived in NY). FedEx, Dagostinos, Shake Shack are a stone's throw away and owner told me there's a vegan bakery at block's end. Only downsides- everything is white so as a red wine drinker I had to be very cautious. Even coffee grounds will stain a counter if you don't wipe them right away. Teeny kitchenette- not really practical for making a meal, but simple stuff (oatmeal, toasting bagel, reheating takeout, making coffee, etc.) works fine and for a small fridge you can fit a lot in. I suggest owner get some place mats and coasters given the "white" situation and wash cloths for bathroom would be nice addition too. Would definitely rent from him again and recommend to others. Additional note: if you try to make a pickup reservation with SuperShuttle online the address shows up as a hotel and SS charges a surcharge for hotel pickups, so you need to make your reservation by phone to save the $20+. The doorman did tell me that it used to be a Hilton many moons ago."

  • Excellent location in Brooklyn!

"This property is ideally situated in Brooklyn! This property was easily accessible from the subway 2 and 3 lines; it has a variety of family-friendly restaurants in the vicinity; grocery stores and Prospect Park are all within walking distance. We stayed in Brooklyn with our five and eight year olds, and we were able to walk to everything without difficulty. The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the kitchen cupboards were well stocked with cookware, dishes and utensils. The apartment also had a full size refrigerator that allowed us to store plenty of food for our meals and snacks. The unit has a tv with dvd player which came in handy for the kids to watch movies that were available in the foyer near the front door. This was our first family vacation to NYC. If we were to visit Brooklyn again, we'd definitely consider staying here again!"
