  • Great Place

"What a great place for a Family reunion and Golden Anniversary celebration. We had the whole 1880 House to ourselves with our 18 people. (Could have slept at least 10 more--lots of beds!!) The grandkids enjoyed the "man cave" in the lower level, for games and TV. They also were able to work the stairs to the top floor for sleeping. All utensils ever needed were available and the kitchen and outdoor grill and refrigerator were great for cooking when we wanted to. Only drawback was that not all bedrooms have air conditioning/good outside air circulation, so a couple evenings were a little warm, but that was no real problem. Plenty of parking and the view from the various rooms and balconies were fantastic. Lots to do in Pulaski, but the most fun as expressed by grandkids was the whitewater rafting down the Salmon River. Had a great time and the weather was perfect."

  • Great family vacation cottage

"Our family of 10, including 3 young children and one teen, so enjoyed our stay at Sis and Larry's cottage. Plenty of beds and the loft worked well. As we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see a small wooden playground under a shade tree which was great for our grandchildren. The tennis court was a big hit with them as well as the beach a couple hundred feet away. On 90 degree days, we were so happy to have the central a/c and the grandkids enjoyed the DVD player built into the upstairs TV. Bring some DVDs, games and your bikes! Spring water was provided for drinking and the kitchen was small but pretty well equipped. The owners were very friendly and live nearby which is helpful. Fourth of July weekend brought lots of fireworks. Tops supermarket in Pulaski was very easy to find as well as a few other stores and fast food restaurants. Sandy Island State Park has a terrific beach on Lake Ontario and is a little tricky to find but well worth it. Some of the adults went white water rafting on the Salmon River with Adventure Calls Outfitters and had a blast but recommend checking other places that may offer helmets because people can fall off the raft and it is rocky and fast at times. The home was clean and very modern. There are 2 other smaller cottages on the property, which are not advertised, but might be nice if more than one family wants to stay. All in all, we would highly recommend Sis and Larry's cottage. They are very trusting and easy to work with. Thanks for a great vacation!"

"I was contemplating keeping a good secret to myself but to be fair to the renter, I wanted to write a review. This property is excellent. It is comfortable and feels like home. Excellent property and I would recommend it to anyone."

  • Perfect!

"This was our first time booking a vacation rental online. We were skeptical to trust the reviews as we know that not everything you read online is accurate. Once we began communicating with Greg, the owner, and then arrived at the the cabin and looked around, we knew right away that the reviews and comments we very accurate! We are familiar with the Pulaski area as we have camped in a nearby site for many years. With a growing family that now includes three children between the ages of four months and five years of age, we were looking to find something that felt more like home yet was far away from the regular routines of being at home. This cabin did that and more! It had all the necessities that a family with (or without) children would need and added luxuries to make it feel like we were on a vacation. It was beautifully secluded, kid-friendly, and close enough to local attractions that we could enjoy a different activity (fishing, Salmon River Falls, museums and historical attractions, etc.) each day. During our first night at the cabin, we were already thinking about friends and family that we could invite for future family vacations. More importantly, we were already considering a romantic getaway. (No kids allowed!) This cabin has all the bases covered in terms of who would enjoy a stay. From a guys hunting trip, ladies getaway (wine and relax), a couple's romantic retreat, to families with children of all ages, this cabin can meet all of your needs. To make the entire experience even better, Greg was wonderful to work with. He was flexible, easy to communicate with and trustworthy. As I mentioned, this was our first time planning a vacation using an online source. We had many questions and he was patient and willing to answer them. This proved to be a situation where the reviews were accurate and insightful. We trusted others reviews and our gut instincts. In the end, it was a great vacation and one that we won't forget!"
