"This cottage has extraordinary water views, and a front porch with comfortable furniture for enjoying those views. The area has lots to see and do, including its proximity to the Thousand Islands. Good restaurants within a reasonable distance. Ft. Drum is not far away if one is visiting family posted there. Inside the cottage, it is quaint and spacious. The fireplace with its gas insert was cozy and warm on cool September evenings. The place is well appointed in the kitchen, although we didn't do much cooking! The weather was wonderful. We had a very nice week"

"We had a lovely week at Sandy Creek. The cottage was great and the lakeside location was perfect. We spent the week BBQing, rowing the boat on the lake, watching the hummingbirds and numerous other bird species (including a bald eagle) and generally relaxing. Highly recommended."

"We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at a beautiful well appointed Cape Vincent cottage. The cottage had everything as described and was a wonderful home away from home while we were on vacation. The owners were very helpful with boat launch information as well. We hope to return again next year!"

"There is a phrase in the hotel/restaurant industry that is of most importance to a business..."location, location, location", and this phrase can apply to the cottage. It could not be in a better or more beautiful location. It is right on the water and the lovely river is visible out of most of the windows. Amazing sunsets every night, loons, herons, and various other river wildlife. The cottage is on a very quiet, dead end street surrounded by beautiful farmland. It is well maintained, very clean, and well supplied with everything you need. Our family of five found the cottage to be very comfortable and definitely a home away from home.
There are many things to do in the area...we went on fishing charters, SCUBA dive trips, a couple of boat tours to Boldt Castle and Singer Castle, shopped in Clayton and Alexandria Bay, swam in the river and played at the cottage.
Andy Hayes was great to rent from - very helpful and accommodating, friendly, yet professional. All in all it was a wonderful week and a truly "awesome cottage"."
