  • Charming Home

"Headland Cottage is a beautiful home just a short walk from the main pier where we spent hours sunbathing, fishing, reading and just relaxing. We went at the beginning of summer so it probably wasn't as crowded as later in the season, which was fine with us. The house is immaculate. Nice furnishings, and well stocked - there wasn't anything we needed that we didn't find in this house. There were blankets laid out on each bed which we used for the first couple of cool evenings and lots of fans for later in the week when it turned hot. The house was plenty large for our group of 8. We spent evenings rocking on the front porch or playing cards around the dining room table. I liked that there is a fridge in the kitchen and a 2nd fridge in the back room which we used to keep our drinks cold. There is a bed and bath on the first floor which came in handy for my mother-in-law who prefers not to do stairs. Bottom line, we enjoyed our stay very much in this comfortable home and would stay again. Plus, the owners were great to deal with. Thanks for a great vacation!"

  • amazing get-away

"My fiancé and I wanted to spend some time together, so we chose to go to the 1000 Islands. We wanted to be close to the tourist stuff, but far enough so we could enjoy some peace. After looking through some properties, the Chalet caught our eye. We were excited to talk with Howard and Tracy about staying in their unit, as were they. Howard was very helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. When we arrived to the Chalet, we were in awe. The pictures definitely do not do it justice! The view is amazing, and being able to see the shipping line allowed us to see several ships go by both day and night. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away for a bit. It's great for small families, or couples who just want some time for themselves. Although some of the other unit owners were there while we were, we felt our privacy was respected. The unit has its own entrance, as well as the unit next to this one; so it was nice to not have people walking by. Everyone there is so nice and super helpful! One regret we have is that neither of us have a boat, so we felt restricted in what we could do. Alex Bay is literally right across the water, but is a 20 minute drive. On the upside, it's a pretty drive. All in all, this place was great! Pleasant owners, helpful neighbors, and an amazing view - we couldn't have asked for more!"

  • Ever been to heaven???

"This is a piece of heaven for sure. The home is lovely in every way. Well furnished decks overllooking the pond and lake Ontario as well as evening cookouts were enjoyed all, Our group of 7 had great sleeping beds, soft linens, and plentiful towels in the spacious bathroom. You have a great dock just across the road for your boat. We brought a 28' proline fishing boat and had ample room to get in and out to the Renshaw pond or to Lake Ontario. My sons fished the Salmon river mostly, and we all had a fantastic time. The kitchen was well appointed also and with a washer dryer, the little ones were always clean as were the fishermans clothes. Toni & Tom were soooooo nice and have put everything in place to make for a splendid vacation for you and your family. There are nearby Amish farms for the kids to pick apples, pumpkins or take a hayride. Old McDonnalds farm was a real treat for the kids while dad is playing golf or fishing for the "big ones". Our group caught lots of big fish, and the little girls with us caught their first fish right from the dock. We plan to come again and if you get the chance to come here do not hesitate to " take your trip to paradise. ". Thanks so much Toni and Tom for letting us enjoy a slice of heaven. Laura & sons"

  • Family reunion

"Beautiful home in a wonderful location. The view and access to the river were great. Everything about the home was perfect including the kitchen, deck, enclosed porch, bathrooms and sleeping options. Hope we can return sometime."
