  • Wonderful Week at the Atwell Wild Cottage

"As I write this, we are preparing to leave the cottage after a wonderful week. The cottage was cozy and clean, with VERY interesting books and memorabilia. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen and dining area very accessible for our extended family group. I would LOVE to return. The cottage's location near the Guzzle and playground and library is ideal for famiies with young children. The owner was very accommodating and answered all questions promptly."

  • What a Find!!!!!!!!

"We have stayed at many vacation rentals and this rental is the best!! Our family has nicknamed this rental "Surf and Turf" because there is just as much fun to be had on land as there is on the water. We had three generations with us and had so much fun together ...BOATING...ATVS ....BONFIRES.....FISHING....BEACH DAYS...LOOKING FOR FOSSILS ON THE COAST...BIRD WATCHING.....AND JUST RELAXING . The home is VERY PRIVATE, beautiful and had every ammenity we could ask for. We are all cooks and enjoyed making family meals in the well stocked kitchen. The porches provided hours of entertainment having coffee or cocktails while birdwatching or watching the sunset. We had teenagers and preschoolers and everyone was outside and entertained. The owner (John) is great! He had Bill (the caretaker) meet us upon arrival at Martin's Marina and follow him to the rental to show us around and answer any questions we had. We would like to thank John for sharing this gem of a property with our family. We can't wait to return next year :-)"

  • A Wonderful Week on the St. Lawrence River

"We rented the Muskie Lodge along with the other 4 lodges on the property at the Lodges at Oak Point for a family reunion. The ages ranged from 3 to 87 and everyone had a fantastic time. Although we did some touring, the trip highlights were the times we spend enjoying the waterfront. The river was perfect for swimming and we rented boats to fish, tube, and just cruise around exploring. The Muskie Lodge is spacious and allowed us to congregate inside for games and meal preparation. We gathered at the picnic tables on the lawn in the evening for dinner and several nights made s 'mores in the fire pit by the river. We've been holding these reunions every other year since the early 70's and we really appreciated the well-stocked and organized accommodations and the kindness of one of the owners, Lisa, who was always responsive and patiently answered a lot of questions. It was a FANTASTIC week! I would highly recommend the Lodges at Oak Point!"

  • Simply Magical!

"Our vacation at Elderberry Cottage was relaxing, restorative and beautiful. I was in a party of six, myself, my husband and our children aged 6, 8, 9 and 10. Each of us was taken with the house and grounds and enjoyed the amenities provided by our gracious hosts. We spent lots of time enjoying the natural setting, kayaking the inlet, fishing galore and hanging out in hammocks or by the fire pit. The location is close to many of the area attractions with convenient access to Boldt castle and gorgeous state parks. The kitchen is well appointed and the grocery is not far at all. In fact, it is amazing how close things are because when you are on Wellesley Island, you feel far from all of the trappings of modern times. The owners were nearby if needed and helpful and even went so far as to provide passes to the Boat Museum, hints, directions and even a lesson on how to filet a fish. The cottage and grounds are immaculately kept with lots to offer in the way of down-home entertainment. You could have a great time without ever leaving the property. This vacation ranks at the top of our "favorites list" and we look forward to revisiting again in the future. That says a lot considering that pleasing six distinct personalities is no small feat!"
