  • Wonderful Week at the Atwell Wild Cottage

"As I write this, we are preparing to leave the cottage after a wonderful week. The cottage was cozy and clean, with VERY interesting books and memorabilia. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen and dining area very accessible for our extended family group. I would LOVE to return. The cottage's location near the Guzzle and playground and library is ideal for famiies with young children. The owner was very accommodating and answered all questions promptly."

  • Laid back vacation

"The cottage is exactly as pictured! Comfortable and adequate. Be sure to bring your camera as you will want to capture the breathtaking sunsets over the water. The fishing was great when we were there , drop your line get a fish, drop your line get a fish! The canoe was perfect early morning and at sunset when the water was like glass. Best yet is my family learned they can survive without TV! We enjoyed the wildlife that was all around. The boathouse and dock made the perfect gathering spot for my family. We would love to come back. Owners very helpful!"

  • Great family vacation cottage

"Our family of 10, including 3 young children and one teen, so enjoyed our stay at Sis and Larry's cottage. Plenty of beds and the loft worked well. As we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see a small wooden playground under a shade tree which was great for our grandchildren. The tennis court was a big hit with them as well as the beach a couple hundred feet away. On 90 degree days, we were so happy to have the central a/c and the grandkids enjoyed the DVD player built into the upstairs TV. Bring some DVDs, games and your bikes! Spring water was provided for drinking and the kitchen was small but pretty well equipped. The owners were very friendly and live nearby which is helpful. Fourth of July weekend brought lots of fireworks. Tops supermarket in Pulaski was very easy to find as well as a few other stores and fast food restaurants. Sandy Island State Park has a terrific beach on Lake Ontario and is a little tricky to find but well worth it. Some of the adults went white water rafting on the Salmon River with Adventure Calls Outfitters and had a blast but recommend checking other places that may offer helmets because people can fall off the raft and it is rocky and fast at times. The home was clean and very modern. There are 2 other smaller cottages on the property, which are not advertised, but might be nice if more than one family wants to stay. All in all, we would highly recommend Sis and Larry's cottage. They are very trusting and easy to work with. Thanks for a great vacation!"

  • Family Reunion

"My family got together for the first time in years at this cottage. All 11 people were comfortable and had plenty of space to get together and also to find places for smaller groups. The kitchen was great for preparing meals for a large group. We ate meals both inside and outside on the covered deck. Two kayaks added to the fun for kids and adults even though we brought our own boats. We enjoyed the dock and fire pit. All in all, a great place to stay."
