"My family stayed for a week in this beautiful, cozy cabin and it was the perfect retreat during our trip. Lots of room inside (5 of us stayed). Nestled way up in the mountain, this home provided us the peaceful, quiet woods surrounding, while still maintaining the convenience of the town just a 10-15 minute drive out. I would highly recommend this home to family and friends and look forward to staying again in the future! :)"

"We had record breaking temperatures-a couple blizzards-But great access to the mountain! When the weather was real bad-we walked! And the road the house is on was perfect for sledding! The house was cozy and perfect for a family of six!The sleeping loft in the second bedroom is great! We enjoyed the fireplace all week-there was plenty of wood in the neighborhood! It was well worth the twelve hour ride!"

"This location is centrally located to all that we needed for our trip to the mountains! It's just a couple easy miles from downtown Boone. The "cabin" is small but has a nice large partially private deck for extra room to stretch. We didn't spend our days there- just used it as a place to crash after hiking, wash clothes, and fix meals. The two "negatives" were: 1. It didn't have a DVD player or kids channels (other than public broadcasting on cable) so I would highly recommend a DVD laptop if you have little kids who need to veg out after big days on the trails. I wish we would have brought one (and even considered running to Walmart to buy a DVD player just for that purpose). 2.The living room furniture is in great need of replacement as the chair is literally shot and the couch is not terribly comfy either. That being said- it would be hard to find such a great location for the price and we would come back to this cabin again (but maybe bring a couple campfire chairs)!"
