  • Two Rock Treehouse vacation

"We had a great time at Two Rock Treehouse. The cabin was decorated so nicely. It was comfortable and homey. It felt very private, but we loved having access to the pool, tennis courts and play areas. The cabin was well equipped and we were close to so many things to do. We would definitely come back!"

  • Quiet country setting - RELAX!

"Our family (including the dog) enjoyed our time at Mountain Memories cabin. The setting was great for relaxing - on a quiet country road (we saw only six cars - I counted - during our stay, and one was the mailman). Banner Creek runs along the country road, and from the yard we enjoyed listening to the creek rushing over the rocks; the creek sounds competed with all the birds chirping. Such a refreshing change compared to city life. We walked down the country road and picked wild flowers, enjoying the views of the beautiful rolling farmland and woods. The location is great, close to the town of Banner Elk, convenient to Grandfather Mountain and Boone, but still "away from it all." No difficult twisting hills. And our dog was in heaven (almost - I would not let him get in the pond and he really wanted to chase some visiting mallard ducks!). We took our dog to the Banner Elk Lodge patio area one night, and we all had a good time (Banner Elk is a very dog-friendly town). At night, we saw more fireflies than I have ever seen - a great sparkling light show from Mother Nature! About the house itself- everything was very clean and in working order, and owners were easy to contact. It was great having modern conveniences (WiFi, DirectTV) in a quiet country setting. We also appreciated that there were basic cleaning supplies on hand (dish liquid, dishwasher detergent, windex, paper towels, trash bags, etc). Those little things mean a lot. Thanks for sharing your home with us."

Thank you Randy, for the most amazing vacation we've had in a long time.P.S. the home is very centrally located to many tourist places."

  • Charming

"I agree with all the other comments regarding Kingfish Cabin, but what delighted me the most was the entertainment the surrounding setting offered. We were there in the fall a year ago enjoying happy hour on the screened in porch when we heard the leaves rustling and an unfamiliar honking sound. Around the corner came a Mama turkey and her 11 jakes. They took a running start down the hill and lifted into flight to position themselves in the tops of the trees in the backyard of the cabin. As none of us had ever seen a turkey fly, this was quite a sight! The next morning at sunset I woke to the same honking so I rushed to the window to see Mama herding her lively brood back up the hill. Fast-forward a year and a half to this past weekend, again at Kingfish and again enjoying happy hour on the screened porch, when a single male turkey appeared at dusk to settle into a treetop. I can’t help but think he was one of the juveniles I saw earlier coming “home” to roost. I love this place!"
