  • Super NICE

"Cabin was very nice and private. Our group enjoyed it. We would go back in the near future for future trips to mountains."

  • Cozy, clean and well stocked

"My friends and I stayed here for a little R and R weekend. The weather wasn't great, but it made our condo choice even better as it was so comfortable and nice to be in. Very clean, SUPER comfy couches and chairs. Plenty of space to hang out in living area or loft which was great. Really nice open layout. SPACIOUS! Kitchen was very well stocked. We would definitely come back again. The only negative for me was the beds were firm, which is totally a personal preference but one worth noting if you are a plush sleeper and considering a weeklong visit or so. For two nights, wasn't a big deal. I've stayed in many VRBO rentals and this was one of my favorites. 4.5/5 is more accurate:)"

  • Perfect cabin, perfect view, perfect location

"I recently had the pleasure of staying in the Mountain View cabin for five nights. We flew to Asheville from Florida and stayed our first five nights in the Asheville area, then headed north to Banner Elk for the second leg of our trip, planning to visit Boone and other close locations. I have stayed in "mountain view" cabins before that required a treacherous and frightening drive to reach... not uncommon to ensure a nice view. But, not here. Most of the drive from the quaint little town of Banner Elk is on a two-lane road and the last portion of the drive is on a gravel road that is wide enough for comfort and not steep at all. What a pleasure. As you can see from the photos, this home has a cabin-look outside and a more contemporary look inside, without compromising that "warm, homey" feeling. All amenities are provided and in good condition. Everything was very clean upon our arrival. (Bring your own wood if you want to build a fire however). We bought some at the local convenience store, Kangaroo Express on Shawneehaw. The hot tub and grill are in great condition. I found the master bedroom bed to be very comfortable (a memory foam type mattress) but my fiance' is a much larger individual who felt it lacked a bit of support for him. The only other item that may need an update is the fireplace screen. It has been used and abused a little bit. The floor to ceiling windows and deck views are tremendous. Not only do you see mountains but you can also see a golf course. I would stay in this exact location in the future. Perfect. As a matter of fact... I wish it was for sale!"

  • Great Sky Destination

"We had a great time staying at "Casa Monte". We were two families with 5 kids and the house is big enough to accommodate comfortably even more people!. We had enough extra blankets and towels. The kitchen is well equipped. The mud room is a big plus!. The view from the deck is beautiful!. The kids enjoyed the sleds very much (there were plenty for all of them!). Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful place!"
