"The O'Neal Cabin was a perfect fit for our family of 8 including four teenagers and we had a blast. The weather was a much needed reprieve from the balminess of the Ga heat in July. We will be back!!! We appreciate the thoughtful and warm kindness shown to us through out our stay by the O'Neals and all of the community of Beech Mountain. Nice change to a fast paced life and the no cellphone signal was a great benefit as it allowed us to catch up with our children, something almost impossible to do this day and time.We played board games every night and laughed till we cried playing hiding seek in the woods just off the back deck. Thank you Patrick for a wonderful week of relaxation and family time in the mountains."

"My family and I planned a Christmas get together and ski vacation for the holidays. We split the group and stayed with four of us here and 8 staying near Grandfather mountain. this house was only 10 min away from the Grandfarther mountain house and Sugar Mt. was only another 10-15 min away. We went skiing on 2 separate days and snow tubing the third day. All easy access and close to the house.
On one of the rainy days days, we went to Linville Caverns and really enjoyed the tour! Very cool caves that the younger kids loved and tour docents kept us informed about their formation and history during the civil war.
We stayed for a week and made our meals often in the fully stocked kitchen. Loved that it had everything we needed. We had plenty of room on the floor in front of the TV to watch Christmas movies with the wood stove to give us that cozy feeling. We didn't need it for heat since the whole house and both bathrooms had heaters that were more than adequate.
Bedrooms and closet space was big enough to hold all our luggage and winter gear. Master bedroom had a nice dual zone electric blanket to use at night. Plenty of towels & space in the bathrooms and being able to have a nice washer and dryer for laundry just simply completed our needs. Everything was there and ready for us.
Our Hosts, were gracious and easy to talk with to coordinate our trip. They arranged contact with the keeper of the house to give us the keys and show us where everything is in the home. They filled us in on where to get groceries and find local restaurants. The Italian Restaurant (that's it's name) was just 2 min away and had great Pizza!
So, if you're looking for a vacation home that has it all and close to local attractions, I'd definitely recommend the stay here. Enjoy!"

"This was exactly what we needed to get away from it all. We only had a couple of days and Phillip was wonderful working with us on very short notice. We so enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs in the cool air. The cabin had everything we needed. Very easy to find. Only a short distance off the main road but you felt as if you were away from everything. Would definitely love to go back."
