"My husband, mother, and I thoroughly enjoyed our mini-vacation in Bat Cave and Chimney Rock. We limited our sightseeing and day trips so as to fully enjoy the comforts of this very clean and perfectly maintained log home. The views from both the front and rear porches are outstanding, and the hot tub provided us with a perfect way to relax after fun-filled hours at Chimney Rock State Park. At age 93, Mom even climbed the stairs to the top of Chimney Rock to take in the breath-taking views! Locals and tourists alike were very friendly. Max and Barb made booking a breeze - very promptly answering all of our questions. For a two night stay, there was no problem not having a washer and dryer. Soon after the trip, we received full refund of the damage deposit. Many thanks to Max and Barb for sharing their home away from home with us. The experience was wonderful and many happy memories were made."Guest: Frenchy Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 5, 2014View listing
"What a great place to go relax and not be bothered by anything except the soothing sound of the nearby river while sitting in the hot tub. We did have to personally retrieve our own adult beverages, but atleast they were just footsteps away. Much to do in nearby areas to include hiking, golfing, activities on Lake Lure, and towns nearby such as Asheville and Hendersonville, NC. A fantastic getaway location."Guest: AJ Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 16, 2014View listing
"My family just spent the weekend at this Bat Cave Mountain Cabin and we had such a wonderful time! The owners are very easy to work with and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable! Upon arriving we were told by the owners that they just discovered the fridge wasn't cooling properly and that they were going to purchase a new one and it would be delivered that afternoon. Within a couple hours a brand new fridge was delivered and installed! The cabin was very nicely decorated, had everything we needed and had many movies to choose from for my children to watch in the evenings. My entire family thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the river! It was a great weekend getaway and we are already planning our next trip!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 28, 2014View listing
