  • A Lovely Cozy Cabin!

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Several friends and I rented Exley House for the weekend in mid October. We were not disappointed. The cabin was easy to find and not too far from town. However, once there we felt like we were secluded on a mountain top, and the views were absolutely amazing! Everything we needed was there in the house when we arrived. The cabin was roomy yet cozy with multiple fireplaces and plenty of seating for our guest who joined us one evening for a dinner party. I will definitely rent Exley house again. Manager responded on 10/22/2014: Good! Thanks for the feedback and glad to hear you'll be coming back in the future!"

  • Cozy cottage

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great surprise as how exclusive it was. It is buried deep in the mountain woods. Very cute, clean and well keep. We loved it so much we ended up coming back one night to cook and hang out, instead of going out for dinner. It is a little tricky to find but well worth the search. Only glitch was the first night we turned up the hot tub it did not heat up fast enough, so had to wait til next day. Would defenately go back! Manager responded on 10/22/2014: Glad you enjoyed the seclusion of Snowy Cove! Will pass along your note about the hot tub. Thank you for the feedback!"

  • Great cozy cabin---loved it

"We enjoyed our stay at Highrock Meadow. The cabin was well equipped, clean and comfy. The wood burning fireplace was a big deal for us South Floridians especially on those c-o-o-l evenings. (Snow flurries on our departure day) Great location---except for the road up which is not suitable for motorcycles. You can check out Christmount for parking your 2 wheeler. Don't forget to bring a flashlight and matches! You will love this cabin. We did!"

  • Cardinal's Cove and Wren's Den ~ Perfect combination!

"We rented these two side-by-side cabins ~ one for our four adult children, the other for the two of us, over Christmas week. India (owner) could not have done more to arrange the perfect accommodations for our family, even with her little toddlers and one on the way! We spent most of our time in the larger Cardinal's Cove, cooked, ate and played Wii, watched movies, played games by the fire. Washer/dryer downstairs was a nice bonus. Parking right at the foot of the cabins. Coffee on the porches in the mornings, scotch at night, overlooking the creek and woods. Great trails to walk, creekside meadow to take your dog for a spin, all right out your front door. Quaint, fun village two minutes down the road with fun shops, famous old town bar, mom and pop bookstore and wonderful pizza place. Gas station and supermarket even closer had everything we needed, including wood for those welcoming fireplaces. Beds were soooo comfy, and decor beautifully done. Normal Rockwell feel. The Wren's Den was ideal for afternoon naps or reading a book ~ or if you just wanted to get away from the bunch in Cardinal's Cove for a while. Asheville is 30 minutes away for bigger shops if that's your thing. We ventured out to the Biltmore Estate for the Christmas tour and it was unbelievably beautiful and historic. The main floor is literally palatial. You can almost feel the royalty's presence. The detail, artwork, wood, drapes and furnishings, chandeliers everywhere, all preserved in their originally intended state, but recently renovated. Choirs, flowers, candelabras throughout the winding halls and stairways. A basement of wine cellars, rooms just for lace-making, food preparation, maid's quarters, and a gigantic pool that must be seen to be believed. Don't miss it. This place just makes you want to stay forever. Beautiful, relaxing, and the best owner's we've ever found. We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything!"
