  • Anniversary Getaway!

"Spent our 20th anniversary there. Owners have it designer decorated, everything is provided. We brought our small dog along too. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and it was used a lot since the weather was cold during part of our stay. It even snowed while we were there. The house is in a mountainous neighborhood located about four miles from town We would highly recommend this rental for a mountain getaway in Blowing Rock, NC."

  • Tops in Chetola!

"We have been coming to Chetola for twenty years, staying in too many properties to count. Without a doubt, you will not find a more comfortable, inviting, well-appointed unit. The accommodations are top-notch, the views are fabulous, the owner was wonderful to work with! For many reasons, it's been two years since the whole family could get away at the same time. But this weekend worked. Unfortunately, it never broke 70* and not a minute of sunshine! (Actually, there were few minutes of dry weather.) Despite that, everyone had a fabulous time - and most of it was spent in this wonderful home! We watched movies, played games, cooked together, fished, took advantage of some spa services. (We did take a few quick trips into town for some fabulous meals.) this home is large enough to give everyone space yet intimate enough to create wonderful bonding moments. Each bedroom has comfortable beds, more than ample closet space, a ceiling fan, a television, walking room (you will not feel claustrophobic), and its own bathroom. The living room was very comfy with a view of the lake (and it's own television). The huge downstairs den also had a wonderful view of the lake, comfy furniture, it's own television, and gas logs. For those with small children: not to fear - the owner has a gate for the stairs in the master closet and the rooms have room for a portacrib setup. For couples traveling together - no twin beds here! If you are considering a trip to the Boone/Blowing Rock area and looking at this home - take advantage of the opportunity. You won't regret it!"

  • Peaceful Oasis for the Soul

"What a blessing to find a quaint cabin close to major roads, but in a quiet valley. Our family enjoyed the space to play cards, pet the goats, and fix our snacks in a wonderful cabin built in the 1800's. We definitely plan to return."

  • Going Home

"Thank you so much for such an enjoyable getaway. My husband and I used to take our children there when it was a campground. Oh, the sweet memories I have from those days. I really want to bring my family and let them see for themselves. It's close enough to anything you need but off the beaten path enough to give you some quiet time. I love the front porch and rockers."
