"We absolutely love Troutsong! It is in the most perfect location! The musical waters are just outside the front windows. It sings you into relaxation. The cabin is all it's said to be & more. The owners are so nice. They answer any questions you might have ASAP. There are many wonderful places to visit in the area, including The Blowing Rock & Grandfather Mtn. We recommend Woodlands BBQ as well. In all our yrs vacationing in the Mtns, Troutsong was the 1st place we have stayed where we were perfectly content to actually spend time at our cabin. Leave all your cares behind when you come to Troutsong. I promise you will want to come back to this amazing place, I know we do!"

Cozy and private cabin but still convenient to many activities
"This was a nice little cabin for my husband, myself and our dog. There was a loft bedroom upstairs that we did not use, but it looked nice too. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck with our morning coffee or sipping some wine by candle and torch light on the stone patio. Loved the nice touch of recently potted plants and flowers.
It seemed quite out of the way when we first drove along the gravel road to get there, but once we got used to it, we found it to be easy to get to Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. We had a fabulous meal at The Gamekeeper, which was a very short drive. Also went into Blowing Rock for an art festival and ate at a local restaurant in town there. Very cute.
The kitchen is new and very well done, with plenty of accessories, which I appreciate. I would like to see some new screens on the windows, but luckily we didn't have problems with bugs at all. Closet space is a little tight just because they are used to store some other items, but we felt it was great space for the price, and we'd recommend it to others. Just remember, that the views are of trees in the summer."

"Our family of 12, 6-adults/6-kids couldn't have enjoyed this home any more. Not only was it beautiful, inside & out, the kitchen was very well stocked so we could cook & enjoy our meals together (we ate dinner on the back porch every night!) Plenty of room for the kids to spread out...we can't wait to return."

"Wow thanks Steve for sharing your lovely cabin with our family. The cabin was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It was centrally located to all the major hot spots and must dos along with great dining and shopping. The boys loved the pool and nature trails and my husband and I loved just relaxing and grilling on the back porch (GREAT VIEWS). We've rented many cabins in the area and this has definitely been the best bang for our buck. We'll be back in the winter to try out the slopes!! Thanks again, The Burnetts"
