"Owner provided a brand new tempur topper for mattress because I mentioned I had a back sprain. This was very kind! Hot tub jets didn't work (no matter how many buttons we pushed, lol), but it was a cozy and cute place, very clean! Yes, we had upstairs neighbors as mentioned in earlier reviews, but it was not a problem, and still felt private, and it had a huge yard for my pups to run around in. Thanks for allowing pets to come, it always makes me feel more at home to have my dogs with me. This is a 30 minutes drive from the ski hills, but it was a very last minute getaway on the busiest ski weekend of the year, so I was happy to have a cozy, clean place available. If you're looking to hang out in Boone, its very close by and has some great local restaurants."

"My wife and I decided to take our kids to see snow. This location is close to the top of a mountain, so it was CRAZY windy the first night. Even with wind gusts up to 50mph and a low around -5, we stayed warm with the wood burning stove. Hot tub was amazing and the kids loved the game room. Having not thoroughly read the description, we did not have a 4wd vehicle, so I ordered snow chains just in case. It snowed 2 inches the first night, but the snow plows worked all day to keep the roads clear. I would TOTALLY recommend snow chains if 4wd is not an option. We stopped at the bottom of the mountain to buy a cheap sled and there were plenty of areas next to the house for our 4 yr old to have fun. We will definitely be back next year, if not sooner!"

"My husband and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary at the Honeymoon Cottage and loved absolutely everything about it! The cozy sofa and chair were great for relaxing by the fireplace. We cracked the windows to listen to the birds while enjoying a stunning view of the lake. Larkins and La Strada were great for dinner (also lakeside), but the deck of the boathouse was perfect for a cocktail before heading out. Again, INCREDIBLE view!!! The hot tub was very easy to operate and we were lucky enough to have a full moon, making the lake even more gorgeous. Mary Potter was great to work with and gave very detailed instructions for finding the property and operating everything. Kitchen was fully stocked, Ingles grocery store is very close and the bathroom/cottage are all updated/well decorated. Our dog enjoyed the trip as well - perfectly pet friendly with all hardwood floors. Great hiking trails nearby, including one right across the street from Ingles. We look forward to our next visit!"

quiet place and great walk into town for meals-1 block away!
"We love Helen's place. It was convenient to restaurants and shopping in town. We love the individual artisan shops with homemade pottery, jewelry and almost every night there is live music in the local restaurants!!!!
The cottage was roomy and spacious with a large deck to enjoy!"
