"The cabin is simply amazing! It is very clean and well maintained. The (View) is stunning. It is a close drive to almost any activity you would want to do on a mountain vacation. If you are wanting to just get away to a peaceful spot there is not a better location. It has all the beauty nature can offer. It is peaceful and quiet and no picture can grasp the beauty of ther cabin and its surroundings. I had seen several photos and was given a great description but was still blown away when I first arrived. I would recommend The View to anyone of all ages."

"We had a great time! It was so nice to go out on the screened-in patio for every meal and listen to the water from the creek! We only turned the television on twice in 13 days! For motorcycle riders, there is some dirt road to contend with. If you come in from the east, it is only .6 miles of dirt road. If you come in from Boone, it is 2.6 miles of dirt road. It is not a bad road - just something to be aware of. We would definitely come to this spot again! Jackie was a pleasure to work with. Thanks Jackie for working with us on the dates!"

"This cabin was wonderful and spacious. It had everything we needed including some floats for the water and a rowboat. The house was in good, clean shape and getting to see how the owners built it by hand made it seem even more special. The fact that you have access to Rumbling Bald with this house is a plus as well! A short 2 mile (winding!) drive to the resort. A lot of board games and foosball table are available downstairs as well! Fairly secluded property was nice, and there was also a nice size (not huge) flat screen TV not shown in the pictures in the large great room which was a nice surprise. The following are not complaints, just something to keep in mind for others who are looking at the house. As mentioned in other reviews, cell service is terrible in Lake Lure area and this house does not have Wi-Fi so if that is something that matters to you, keep that in mind. Also, the lake this is on is small and peaceful. Not much other than floating and rowing is possible, which is obvious I think but some may not realize that this is on a small lake next to Lake Lure. Thank you again to the owners for the info, quick responses and the fast return on deposit!"

"We stayed at Rocky Broad River Cabin for 1 week with another couple. Great choice for two couples. The cabin is extremelly well maintained and very clean. The scenery is gorgeous! To fall asleep every night under the sound of the river is an amazing feeling and so peaceful! This place is under-rated, we will definitely be back. One more thing: the owner, a pleasure to deal with, very helpful and accommodating."
