  • Million Dollar View

"We've stayed in many cabins over the past 10 years and Heavenly View had the best long range view by far. There are only about 4 other cabins on the street and none were occupied while we were there so it was very secluded and peaceful. We saw wild turkey and deer. The stars and Milky Way shown brightly overhead as we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit area. The hot tub is large and very nice. We were 5 adults and 2 toddlers. The house is not set up for toddlers so if you bring them, bring side rails for bed or pack and play, booster seat, toys, night light, gate for stairs. WiFi worked great. There is a ping pong table but bring your own games, cards, movies, Chromecast. Furniture is comfortable. Heat and A/C worked fine. House faces East so you see the sunrise over the mountains which is beautiful but very, very bright as it streams into the living, dining and kitchen area so plan to wear sunglasses inside on sunny mornings:) There was outdoor furniture on the main level but no outdoor furniture on the lower level where the hot tub is. It would be nice to have some chairs on that level for those who wish to talk but not be in the hot tub. A pancake griddle would also be a nice addition to the kitchen as well as pot holders. The owner is so easy and pleasant to work with and the price is unbeatable. You get a million dollar view for a few hundred dollars!"

  • Florida Family

"Very nice house, very clean. We had everything we needed there - you will need to make sure you bring soap. I had my family and my son's family and the accommodations were perfect and easy walk to the slopes. The only downside was there is no WiFi. Owners are awesome and made our stay effortless."

  • Secluded & Private

"I have rented this property 2 or 3 times already and it has served our family's purposes. If you are seeking a place off the main roads and a lot of distance between any neighbors for privacy and getting back to a true natural surrounding, this is it ! It is near the end of a gravel road into a very old "Appalachian family owned" valley. Being a small business owner (remodeling contractor) it gives me a way to get away from constant customer business demands 7 days a week on me and relax, and is only a 1 1/2 hours from my home to reach. If you make it to the top rear corner of the property, the old barbed wire fence property line has some massive (approx. 200 year old) oak trees as old settlers actually used to mark their boundaries that way; and you can see the ridgelines of the mountains bordering Tennessee and North Carolina going into Virginia too. And if you are up there during a weather change or fog, it can become a very spooky experience having fog roll up and over the ridgetops and through those old massive oak trees. I personally have enjoyed it as a way to get out into the woods with my sons and an area that is not commercially developed in anyway. A rustic experience overall."

  • Awesome tucked away home just a mile from Chimney Rock park!!

"We absolutely loved this place--it could be used by two couples, as the upstairs & downstairs each has its own bedroom, bathroom, living area & kitchen!! We loved being tucked away from the traffic in Chimney Rock, but close enough to walk to the village. The property owners have frontage on the Broad River on which my husband tried fishing, but probably needed a little more expert advice on how to do so. The home is well stocked with linens, towels, dishes, pots & pans--everything you will need. We took trips each day in a different direction, and were never disappointed with what we encountered. The only slightly negative thing I could say is that the driveway is somewhat steep, and could be scary in icy conditions. Oh--this property is pet friendly. Out little dachshund loved exploring the area."
