  • Wonderful MLK Ski Weekend

"We had a wonderful time at the cabin for MLK weekend. It is a great location, especially for skiing in that Ski Beech is almost walkable from the cabin. The cabin itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There are a number of restaurants nearby, but after a day on the slopes we preferred to cook in and enjoy the fire to read by and watch movies on the big screen TV. The owners were very helpful and easy to work with and they had the driveway plowed before we got there (which was a must after 14" of snow the night before). We thought it was actually nicer than the pictures. We would definately recommend this property and would return."

  • Perfect girls' weekend getaway!

"The Robertson House was THE perfect place to stay to celebrate a girls' weekend. The house was beautifully decorated with doors and windows that opened up to let in the late Spring mountain breeze. We loved feeling as if we were in a private setting in a lovely mountain valley while at the same time being only a few steps away from downtown. It was great for a mixture of fun and relaxation. We enjoyed exploring the shops and also had a blast going across the road in the evening for drinks at the sports bar. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, from dishes to ROKU to cozy linens. We were just so comfortable and grateful for this open, pleasant house and our wonderful stay here. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in NC!"

  • Fantastic Getaway

"The cabin was fantastic. After my daughters beautiful wedding we decided to get away with family from England and California. For the first time ever, everything was as advertised. Spacious and luxury only begin to describe this cabin. Upon arrival we experienced the fantastic views and all the amenities we had hoped for and all that were advertised. The kids (teenagers) played all night in the game room while we enjoyed the privacy of the master suites. We took advantage of all the amenities (large gas grill, fire-pit, game room, internet & jacuzzi tub). The location was secluded with all the privacy we were looking for. However, the town was close enough to be convenient enough to run into town for dinner or off to Grandfather Mountain. The owners were fantastic and easy to work with. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to be pampered."

  • Tree Haus during the summer

"Pros: - Quiet and far enough away from city life while still being only a 30+min drive away from downtown Boone - large (three stories!) with foosball table, board games and cable/dvd player for late night family movies. Quite ideal for kids of all ages (I work in pediatrics) even our infant daughter. - nice hiking trails all around (easy to moderate) - close proximity to lake (fishing permitted), creek and communal lodge that has a pool, pool tables and ping pong tables. Very friendly atmosphere! - affordable - owners are VERY welcoming and do a fantastic job at making the check-in a check-out as idiot proof as possible. Thank you! Cons: - a little tricky to get to (but very detailed instructions from owners make this less of an issue) - closer to other houses then expected, but far enough away to allow for personal privacy - in the thicket of the woods, so not a great view of mountains, but easily a short drive from the parkway Over-all: Very good experience! Would certainly recommend for family's or couples looking for romantic get-away"
