"A great place. Not for elderly people with balance problems. Too many curvy roads. Lots of things to do. The home needs a toaster, Suggest portable grab bars in the showers--available at WalMart. We loved the quiet."

  • Wonderful Christmas

"Perfect house for a family gathering. Seven adults ages 21-73. Enough space for all. Beds were super comfortable with plenty of extra linens, blankets, and pillows. Kitchen was well stocked with all are needs. We brought with us an aluminum pan but were even surprised to find a roasting pan that fit our 30 pound Christmas turkey. Two large bathrooms and a nice half bath meant all 7 of us could get ready quickly each morning. Bath towels were very plush. Christmas dinner sitting in front of the roaring fireplace in the dining room made the dinner even more special. House sits on street with 5 other houses but you dont even know they are there once you are at the house. Easy drive to Biltmore House in under an hour. Could see Chimney Rock from the house in the distance which was a quick 5 minute drive. Ingles grocery was 5 minutes away and had an amazing selection. Hendersonville was a 20-30 minute drive with a great Main Street. Only suggestion would be a potato masher or hand blender. Other than that we wanted for nothing. Mom was the contact person for owner and she always promptly answered back."

  • Wonderful Thanksgiving week

"Perfect for our clan. 3 bedroom suites for the adults and a bunk room for the kids. 7 grandkids btwn 3&7yrs. They loved the bunk room. Grammy,Grandpa, moms&dads had their own space. Huge table in the kitchen seated all 13 of us with room to spare. Large gathering room on 2nd floor for TV watching and games. Convenient to everything in the area, yet far enough off the beaten path for quiet and privacy. Much better equipped and supplied than most rentals. Gina is responsive and very helpful. Great people and a great cabin made a great week. Thanks Gina."

  • Great cabin - beautiful view and close to many attractions.

"Just spent New Year's week at Go Fish with another family. There were a total of 10 of us, and the cabin is set up nicely to accommodate two families with kids. It wasn't clear to us, but the cabin has a king bed / loft with bathroom on the top floor, another on the main floor with a bathroom and room for about 6 to sleep in the basement with another bathroom. Nice comfortable furniture and plenty of tv's for everyone. Nice gas powered wood stove warms the place up nicely. The kids loved the hot tub on the porch. Kudos to the owners for springing for some nice quality mattresses ... first time I have not woken up with back pain in years ! Two large decks overlooking the Watauga river and a small horse farm. Great getaway for fishing or skiing in the NC mts."
