  • Everything You've Ever Wanted for the Perfect Mountain Vacation

"This charming, cozy cabin has everything you'll ever need for a fabulous mountain vacation. Centrally located in Valle Crucis, our family spent a wonderful week exploring the area. The kitchen and entire facility have luxurious appointments. You'll wish you had a kitchen like this at home. With two teenagers, we stayed on the go, exploring the area. Some of our side trips included: Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls & Gorge, Roan Mountain (one of the best hiking adventures we've ever done), and numerous waterfall expeditions. We made it a point to get ice cream, often, at the Mast General Store, just down the road from the cabin. We enjoyed shopping at the Tanger Outlet in nearby Blowing Rock and the stores near Appalachian University in Boone. Love bbq? Don't miss Woodlands in Blowing Rock. Breakfast finds? Grandview at Grandfather Mt. and Sunrise Grill on 105. Despite all the above recommendations, we spent a lot of time grilling at the cabin. We'd return from our day adventures to the gurgling of the stream, glimpses of white-tailed deer, and sighing of the mountain breezes through the treetops. Love this place. Thanks to the owners and manager for the perfect family getaway."

  • Multigeneraltional Acommodations!

"High Haven was perfect for a three generaltional family gathering: little girls converted the top floor into a a cafe--$.50 bought a juice box an yogurt parfait but bring your own coffee; teens took the bottom floor; and grandparents and parents were on the main floor. There were books for all ages and tastes: mythology, travel history, fiction, spirituality, mysteries, art, science--something for everybody. There were board games galore, hoseshoes, badminton and balls but best of all was a hammock and lots of grass for playing. The 100 Acre Wood provided privacy and offered a quite place for turkeys to visit. We celebrated everyody's birthday with a cake from "Fabio's Restaurant" and games on the lawn. It was a great day! It was a great vacation!"

  • Photographer's cozy nest

"Being a lover of the outdoors and a photographer, I'm drawn to these mountains every year and have consequently stayed in many rental cabins. But, I'm happy to say, this one is definitely my favorite. In addition to its great location near the Blue Ridge Parkway with all its scenic attractions and hiking trails, the cabin's amenities are first rate. There's plenty of storage for clothes and equipment, an outstanding kitchen and dinning area for family meals, plus comfortable and attractive furnishings throughout the home. If you are looking for a home away from home, this cabin with its peaceful setting and great views of the surrounding mountains is one I would recommend."

  • Georgia girl

"This was a lovely condo that was very beautifully appointed. We were a little disappointed that it was not a little closer to the lake but that was our only disappointment."
