"My boyfriend and I had a nice time with our dog at the chalet. A pretty location with lots of hiking options. The cabin itself is rustic with all of the necessary amenities. My boyfriend and also my cousin who visited for a day both said that it definitely seemed like a hunter's cabin, with the chosen decor and overall feel. The beds were nice and comfy. My only complaint is that the cabin wasn't as clean as I would have liked, cobwebs and dust were pretty abundant, the bathtub didn't seem super clean and I went to grab a saucepan lid and there was grease splatters all over it. Overall good experience though."

"The wedding celebration this past weekend at RR Lodge was perfect! Family members enjoyed 4 days/3 nights at the lodge and the location was perfect for the wedding down in the meadow near the creek. The large deck accommodated both the rehearsal dinner and reception as well as a large tent. We had many guests from many states who traveled hundreds of miles for the celebration and all were duly impressed with the lodge and its setting. Our thanks for Lana for being so helpful!"

"My husband and I spent three days at Hidden Lake with our 8-year old son and his best buddy on our last vacation. The cabin was beautifully kept and had all the amenities you want when you're trying to get away from the rat race for a bit. We took advantage of the lack of distractions (mainly no wi-fi) and ate long breakfasts with the kids and took naps on the screened porch. Weather was cool and inviting in July. Didn't expect that. After an invigorating hike at Chimney Rock, we spent a great deal of time at the pool and fishing dock (an easy two-minute walk from the cabin) and our city kids had a blast catching fish. Actually, they enjoyed the ones that got away just as much! The grandparents stopped in and took the kids to Linville Caverns nearby and the hubby and I took a kid-free drive and hike along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Everything seemed close and Marion had all we needed. Of special note was the Crooked Door Coffee House (when I needed wi-fi unexpectedly for a work crisis) and Bruce's Fabulous Foods in Marion with so many flavors of cheesecake I lost count. All of this and friendly neighbors! Theresa made the whole process so easy and was a welcoming guide for the area. I highly recommend this cabin and area for anyone visiting this part of NC."

"We absolutely love this house. This was our 2nd year to stay here for our long weekend annual family retreat, and we have already booked it for next year. There are 13 of us including 5 children. The children, ages 4 through 13, have a blast. Because of the layout of the house, they can play in so many different areas. The dock is perfect for my nephew's boat and the family loves swimming off of the dock, too. The fire pit has already become the scene of our annual s'mores' roast. Terri is a dream to work with and I thank her for being so accommodating. The great room area with the kitchen is ideal for mealtime with lots of conversation and laughs as meals are being prepared. We are making great family memories for the kids and I hope that we continue to return to this house for many years."
