  • Wonderful visit

"Visited Donna's house end of July/early August 2014. Nice relaxing home that is well-equipped. My 12 and 14 year old sons loved jumping off top of dock and swimming in lake. They took the kayaks out frequently despite a few days of rainy cooler weather. It's a beautiful lake best explored by boat if you have access to one. Thanks for opening your home to my family."

  • Fall getaway

"This cabin was just what we wanted for a relaxing fall trip. Pretty Lake James nearby the cabin. The cabin is on a river, easy to kayak. The cabin is clean and neat .beds were comfortable. We are looking at going back. Also the owner has lots of information books with directions and information about the area and things to see ,do or places to eat."

  • Home away from home

"Just got back from a wonderful trip! Serenity log cabin is beautifully appointed and immaculate. Located in a beautiful gated community with breathtaking views, this cabin is equipped with all the comforts of home. A safe haven to return to after a long day of activity. It is about 40 minutes to downtown Asheville, Chimney Rock, and a short ride to Linville Falls and Blue Ridge Parkway. We were a party of six and were very comfortable at the cabin. It was great to be able to use the kitchen to make breakfast and dinner. Heather is very easy to work with, and takes care of all of the details in an efficient manner. Can't wait to go back!"

  • worth the money

"This house is just as beautiful as the pictures. Truly high end kitchen with all the tools you'd need to host Thanksgiving or Christmas - not to mention everyday meals. Despite our October occupancy adults and kids swam in the lake, jumped of the diving board and enjoyed all the boats. The pontoon boat was in great condition and a wonderful way to explore the lake. I was on crutches during the stay and used the main level master, which was beautiful. I was able to make it down the slate stone filled steps to the dock and ride on the pontoon boat despite my injury. We hiked at Lake James state park _5 min drive to trailhead - and ate dinner in Marion at Low Country restaurant 1 night but otherwise no one felt any need to leave the property. Would love to come back again."
