  • Reuniting family and friends

"We returned yesterday from a stay at Ole Blue. It was PERFECT! The owners are so nice, by phone and email, they made making the reservation so easy. The description on this web site is spot on! We were a group on three families from NC, FL and the UK, ranging in ages from 9-73! It was so nice to send the kids into the rec room and have adult time on the main floor. The kids spent a lot of time exploring around the cabin with a metal detector (maybe a small garbage can on the decks for bottle caps would be a good idea!) we now have a great collection of them! We cooked in the cabin every night. The kitchen has everything you need! We took a boat tour of the Lake, we used the marina in the Rumbling Bald resort. It was great, the guide was full of information about the lake and it's residents. We also used Canopy Ridge Zip Lining! This was amazing!! All 12 of us went! We also spent an afternoon at in Village of Chimney Rock, window shopping and sitting on the rocks of the Broad River. Ole Blue was everything we expected it would be and more. Thanks to the owners for sharing it will us!"

  • WOW - Mountain Vacation was HEAVENLY!

"This home is absolutely stunning and will entertain you and your family or associates in a first class way! Our extended family of 15 spent a long Thanksgiving weekend at Grace Rock (LOVE the name!) and cooked full meals, everyone had a bed, there are multiple 'large gathering spaces' inside and outside and quite simply, it feels like a HOME! The furnishings, amenities and decor are exceptional. The accessibility to the Rumbling Bald Resort is fabulous and the resort itself offers every activity you could possibly want. Since it was cooler weather when we visited, we hiked, some fished, many used the workout room, the outdoor basketball courts, corn hole, golf and more.......we even did a lake tour -- which should be a MUST on your list! Saturday nights on the beach roasting marshmallows, movie nights at the resort, miniature golf -- there simply is something for everyone! You will have a BLAST at Grace Rock. We cannot wait to return!"

  • Perfect for our "family" of 12

"We recently stayed at Cooper's Cabin, located in The Peaks @ Lake Lure, with two other families. We were twelve guests total: 6 adults & 6 kids (ages 11 to 4). This cabin was perfect! The property was clean & well-maintained. Upstairs, there are 2BR, a loft area, & 1 BA. The BR's are good size & one has two full-size beds and the other a queen. The master bedroom (king bed) and another bath are on the main floor with the living/dining/kitchen. These latter three rooms were tight with 12, but still big enough for us. Downstairs has the bunk beds (twin over a full), a full bath, and all of the toys. Our family loved the basement area, the large decks, and the impressive views. The home is in a quiet location, with great cell coverage (Verizon & ATT). They also had free wi-fi service, via DSL. You are 5 mins from an Ingles, and ~15min from Lake Lure or Chimney Rock. This is a beautiful home, and we look forward to a return trip. Cons: Water pressure is low, so you can only have one in the shower at a time. Otherwise -- no complaints. P.S. No need to worry about Larry any longer... :) << You'll figure this out once you read the guest book."

  • Great home for family vacation

"Very beautiful home with all the amenities you need for an enjoyable vacation. The home was very comfortable, clean, and beautifully furnished and decorated. We had four teenagers and the resort passes and pool table in the home kept them well entertained. Would recommend this vacation home to anyone wanting a mountain retreat. The mountains and lake are beautiful."
