What a beautiful place!!
"We've visited Lake Lure many times, but this was a first…staying actually on the lake! It quickly became our favorite home we've had the pleasure of renting. My favorite part of each day was morning coffee with the hubby overlooking the peaceful water and surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Absolutely the best of both worlds! The house was extremely clean and so accommodating. The decor was lovely. The small touches, such as memory foam bath mats!! My feet have never been happier :) The memory foam mattress was a huge plus too! We grilled a couple of times for dinner, but usually ventured into Lake Lure for lunch. GREAT restaurants everywhere. I would highly recommend this place! Hopefully we'll be back before too long!"

"This is the fifteenth year our family has been to Lake Lure and the third consecutive year we have stayed in the Moore House. I can’t say enough for both the house and its owner. The flat paved parking area allows for easy unpacking. The house overlooks the lake with gorgeous views from almost every room. We are avid cooks and are thrilled to have such a well-equipped kitchen. Every pot and pan and small appliance you would ever need are there. The house is immaculate and the furnishings throughout are tasteful and comfortable. There are ten of us (three generations) and, while we love to spend time together, we also enjoy the many porches and terraces for a little privacy to read, nap or just contemplate the beauty of the view. It’s hard to decide on a favorite spot. Is it the screened porch where we gather one by one for coffee in the morning? Or maybe the covered terrace, the scene of cutthroat board games mid afternoon. A real possibility is the pontoon boat when we’re out for a sunset cruise. Or, it could be the spacious great room where we all collapse following a day of swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and bouncing on the trampoline. The whole place is amazing and perfect for making beautiful memories. Thanks, John, and put me down for this week forever."

"The website, including the photos, give you a good sense of what this place is like. It is a nice, quiet, comfortable house, overlooking a small lake. There are plenty of fun day trips to do -- if you want to -- or you can just hang out on the terrace and relax."
