Best house on Lake Lure
"We have stayed on Lake Lure many times over the years in several homes, but Ledford's Landing is by far the best . Great view, location and amenities. This is the second time for my family and friends. We will be back."

"Cabin is lovely with nice little kitchen, very comfortable beds, and all the necessary amenities. Grill has gas hookup so no empty tank worries. It takes about 20 minutes to get from the cabin to I40 to head wherever you want to go. Make sure you gps the interstate route if you want to avoid very curvy roads. We enjoyed time in Brevard, Asheville, Black Mountain and Lake Lure. I highly recommend driving to Brevard for hiking and other activities in beautiful Pisgah Forest, shopping the shops downtown Brevard and do go eat at Square Root there! Shindig on rhe Green in Asheville (local music) was a very enjoyable mountain evening as well. The homeowners of this cabin made renting their place very easy and hassle free."

"My husband and I have stayed in quite a few cottages. Five Oaks is by far the cleanest, coziest and most relaxing of any. David and Penny (owners) have provided every amenity you could ask for. The kitchen is a cooks delight. The bed was very comfortable. Perfect size for a couple. One of the best perks was the use of a canoe. My arms are still sore from all the canoeing we did. Chimney Rock is a few miles away. Don't miss. Also see the Flowering Bridge in Lake Lure. I can't recommend any restaurants because we cooked all our meals at the cottage. We did go to the historic district of Hendersonville for ice cream at Kilwins and bought bread at Underground Bakery.. Yummy. We highly recommend this wonderful little cottage. You won't be disappointed."

"We had our children & grandchildren with us for a total of 13. The house accommodated us nicely, but we spent a majority of the time relaxing in the lake. The owners have floats, kayaks, and a canoe they allow guest to use. Also, jumping off the top of the boat house was a big hit with everyone except us old folks! The view of the lake from the house is beautiful. The owner Lindy was great to work with, even quickly addressing a leaky pipe. The steps that lead to the lake are steep & plentiful so just be warned if steps are a problem for you. I will definitely stay here again next time we plan a vacation to Lake Lure."
