  • Love Lake Lure

"My husband and I vacationed at Lake Lure last summer. I had to bring my family this summer. Poole Hall was the perfect choice. The outside spaces had everything for everyone. The deck, the screened in porch, the grassy area by the water. The amenities, once again everything for everyone, washer/dryer, the bathrooms are really nice! The game room for the kids downstairs. We were outside all day, into the evening and late at night talking on the deck. We did some sightseeing, but mostly stayed at the lake and prepared all our meals in. I told my sister when you are at Lake Lure you can do everything (sightseeing) or do nothing at all, just relax. The owner, Lindy, is awesome !!PERIOD!! Easy going and wants you to enjoy the lake as much she does. Did I mention the view? You and your family will love it."

  • Great De-STRESSING TIME in Lake Lure!!

"Tom and Kathy Grassia plus Gracie and Cooper too (who had a wonderful vacation TOO!) This house is just as you see in the pictures, just lovely inside! Clean linens at the foot of your bed so you know they ARE clean linens (at first I thought ?) then that made a lot of sense! A very quiet neighborhood which was great for July 4th because it's NOT where we live! This owner is very pet friendly and that is such a plus when you want your kids with you. A good DirecTV pkg for nice evenings in. You are 6 miles away from the awesome Ingles and if you can't find what you want there, you don't want it anyway! Turn the other way and you are on the way to restaurants and on to the beach area and Chimney Rock. We found this home to be comfy and cozy and just what we needed to get away and would come back again. The only thing we would improve on is the steps leading up to the great deck area is it could be cemented instead of sand and gravel. Not much of a complaint! Denise and her husband were so helpful when we messed up on the trash removal! Thank you so much for that!! Comfortable beds, clean house, lot's of deck space if that's your thing (if was way too hot when we were there!) nice furniture, check it out, you won't regret it! Golden Hue, will bring a smile to your face, it did ours!"

  • Lake Lure Cabin Stay

"We were looking for a budget friendly way to spend some time on Lake Lure, and found it with this beautiful quaint cabin. It is comfortable and clean and had plenty of space for the 7 of us. The floor plan worked out great with the two bed sleeping loft, one bedroom and one bath on the upper level, which is where the three young adult boys slept. The main floor bedroom and bath was where my husband and I slept, and the lower level had a bedroom, bath and bed area in the family room, which was perfect for the two young adult girls. The "kids" used the lower level family room for their hang out space at night. The kids enjoyed the boulder climbing in a separate area of Chimney Rock Park that was free and down the road from the main entrance. We rented kayak's for the kids, and a pontoon boat that we all took out in the evening and enjoyed a packed picnic dinner on the boat on the lake. We all had a wonderful and relaxing time and enjoyed our stay!"

  • Birthday Staycation!

"As a resident of Asheville and the manager of a popular luxury hotel I rarely have time to get away and enjoy a vacation during our busy summer season. I decided on Lake Lure due to it's beautiful scenery, close proximity to Asheville, ( only 42 min. away) and all of the activities the town has to offer. from the moment I interacted with the homeowners I knew this cabin was a good choice. Jenny, the owner, was professional and extremely gracious in accommodating our needs....Hotel Managers are picky you should know, we spend all day perfecting your stay with us so you can only imagine what we expect when staying somewhere ourselves!! the cabin was private, spacious, spotless and the layout was terrific for multiple couples. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything to cook, dine and entertain and the pool table was a big hit with the guys. We celebrated my Birthday Sat. by using the outdoor grill for a great cookout with farm fresh meats and veggies from nearby Hickory Nut Gap Farms. Friends and family came in waves from Asheville and the surrounding areas throughout the weekend and a few wouldn't leave because they loved the cabin so much! We paddled kayaks on the lake after dinner to witness an incredible sunset, such a great way to unwind. I was impressed at how close to the marina and Lake Lure Beach we were. (1 mile at the most.) Shortly after we dropped our boats at the cabin then went back into town to dance the night away at a small local venue. the Rumbling Bald Resort passes came in great use as well. We had breakfast poolside the next day, lunch on the beach that afternoon then rented a pontoon boat for some fun on the water. The pontoon boat is the BEST way to see Lake Lure and worth every penny!! We picked up appetizers from the dock at Larkins on The Lake then found a pretty cove to snack and swim for the rest of the afternoon. We headed back to the cabin and the guys headed a pool tournament while the ladies prepared the grill for dinner. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings with a short after dinner walk around the neighborhood and managed to catch another beautiful sunset over the lake. We loved it and we will be back!!! Do yourself a favor and rent this cabin, you won't be disappointed!"
