  • Great De-STRESSING TIME in Lake Lure!!

"Tom and Kathy Grassia plus Gracie and Cooper too (who had a wonderful vacation TOO!) This house is just as you see in the pictures, just lovely inside! Clean linens at the foot of your bed so you know they ARE clean linens (at first I thought ?) then that made a lot of sense! A very quiet neighborhood which was great for July 4th because it's NOT where we live! This owner is very pet friendly and that is such a plus when you want your kids with you. A good DirecTV pkg for nice evenings in. You are 6 miles away from the awesome Ingles and if you can't find what you want there, you don't want it anyway! Turn the other way and you are on the way to restaurants and on to the beach area and Chimney Rock. We found this home to be comfy and cozy and just what we needed to get away and would come back again. The only thing we would improve on is the steps leading up to the great deck area is it could be cemented instead of sand and gravel. Not much of a complaint! Denise and her husband were so helpful when we messed up on the trash removal! Thank you so much for that!! Comfortable beds, clean house, lot's of deck space if that's your thing (if was way too hot when we were there!) nice furniture, check it out, you won't regret it! Golden Hue, will bring a smile to your face, it did ours!"

  • Great Outdoor Experience

"This home is located near the mouth of a cove, which is perfect for those wanting to swim and canoe without getting out into the main part of the lake. The view is breathtaking and we spent most of our time on the deck over the boathouse. The layout of the house is perfect for those with 2 families or those with older children or teenagers, who may want to stay downstairs. Our family of 5 used the upstairs, but there was room downstairs to accommodate 5 more people. The downstairs was relatively cool, even in August. The house is stocked with games for rainy days and the boathouse has a canoe, fishing poles (my children caught several fish) and floats. My children also liked the ducks that would come to visit. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and we only went out to dinner once. We did rent a pontoon boat at Lake Lure Adventures, which was very close to the house."

  • Great location for R&R!

"This is an excellent retreat from daily stresses! We were celebrating our anniversary and needed some peace & quiet. The area had plenty of activities or you could just do like us & enjoy some downtime. The cabin was wonderful! It was clean and very inviting. The weekend we were there it was overcast & rainy so we didn't get to enjoy as many outdoor activities as we would have liked, but we enjoyed listening to the crickets, birds, and hearing the rain. The owner did exactly as she said she would once we booked our stay. She provided all the necessary information you would need should there be a situation that needed to be addressed. Would highly recommend this cabin & we look forward to returning sometime in the future."
