"We were very impressed how spacious the home was.Everyone had there own floor. We were 3 couples and it was like we had our own private oasis. The views from the huge decks are amazing. Comfortable furnishings and well appointed kitchen. The lake was a
joy to boat on. We had it to ourselves that weekend. Very private. High in the mountains."

"We had 6 adults and 2 children that stayed in the home starting on the 4th of July. We loved the small private lake and rowboat and the access to the resort. The house was clean and well maintained. Our biggest annoyance was that there was no internet, and our cell phone service wasn't great, so that caused some problems."

"We loved staying at the cabin. It is beautifully furnished, well kept with everything you need. Just a few miles from Rumbling Bald Resort if you want to rent SUPboards, kayaks, pontoon boat, etc and then you can hang out at the beach. Or if you prefer the community beach, you can drive just a few more miles for the public beach with slides. It is very close to Chimney Rock Resort and within an hour to Asheville. Lovely home to spend quality time with your family!
The ONLY complaint is the sleeper sofa downstairs is nothing but springs so it was not comfortable at all for sleeping.
I would definitely stay again and recommend this home for any getaway."

"Our family of 4 stayed for 5 nights in early July. The view was just as advertised. After our pontoon boat tour of the lake, we came to realize that it is probably one of the best to be had. We appreciated the easy access to the lake and enjoyed using the canoe and fishing from the deck. There were a couple of rafts though only one was functional. We searched the stores in the area and finally found a raft at the beach shop which we left for the next visitors to use.
The weather was quite hot during our stay. The window air conditioner did a decent job of cooling the cabin though the bedrooms were a bit warm unless the door was kept open. Ceiling fans helped and there were other fans available.
It was also nice to have the use of the grill. Lake Lure is not a late night town so options to get food after 9 didn't exist. We made several trips to Ingles which was well-stocked. We had dinner at LaStrata twice and would recommend.
Definitely recommend the hike to Chimney Rock and strolling the shops in town.
Pro - excellent view, quiet and relaxing, easy access to the water, ramp made it easy to move luggage
Cons - deck is in need of repair; it is sagging and splinters are a problem. Cabin could use a deep cleaning to remove cobwebs and treat for bugs (ants)."
