"Our family just returned from a stay at this home during the Easter weekend. First of all I would like to say that making the arrangements with the owner was very convenient. He was very helpful and responded to emails and calls. Also, as mentioned in the description of this property, Debbie (the caretaker) was waiting for us when we arrived. She took her time to show us the house and gave us great tips on areas that were close by that we should visit. Debbie even had some treats waiting for us. Thanks so much Debbie! My wife and I enjoyed the treats as much as our children. We are a family of 4 and the home was plenty big for us. This home sleeps at least 8-10 people based on sleeping arrangements. The view of the sunset on the top deck (living room area) was awesome. What a scene with the lake in front of you and the mountains as a backdrop while the sun drops behind them. The home is also in a great location to make short excursions to places such as Hendersonville. My son likes to fish. We didn’t even have to take the boat out to catch any. We caught bass while fishing right off of the pier. The water was clear and the fishing was good. One last thing. This home has so many amenities…about anything you can think of. So don’t pack too much. We look forward to our next trip to Lake Lure which will hopefully be in the summer or fall. We definitely hope that this home will be available. Thanks for sharing your home."Guest: Jay and Family Date of Stay: March 2013 Review Submitted: April 1, 2013View listing
"This home is absolutely stunning and will entertain you and your family or associates in a first class way! Our extended family of 15 spent a long Thanksgiving weekend at Grace Rock (LOVE the name!) and cooked full meals, everyone had a bed, there are multiple 'large gathering spaces' inside and outside and quite simply, it feels like a HOME! The furnishings, amenities and decor are exceptional. The accessibility to the Rumbling Bald Resort is fabulous and the resort itself offers every activity you could possibly want. Since it was cooler weather when we visited, we hiked, some fished, many used the workout room, the outdoor basketball courts, corn hole, golf and more.......we even did a lake tour -- which should be a MUST on your list! Saturday nights on the beach roasting marshmallows, movie nights at the resort, miniature golf -- there simply is something for everyone! You will have a BLAST at Grace Rock. We cannot wait to return!"Guest: Jeri Lynn Date of Stay: November 2011 Review Submitted: February 27, 2012View listing
"We loved staying at the cabin. It is beautifully furnished, well kept with everything you need. Just a few miles from Rumbling Bald Resort if you want to rent SUPboards, kayaks, pontoon boat, etc and then you can hang out at the beach. Or if you prefer the community beach, you can drive just a few more miles for the public beach with slides. It is very close to Chimney Rock Resort and within an hour to Asheville. Lovely home to spend quality time with your family! The ONLY complaint is the sleeper sofa downstairs is nothing but springs so it was not comfortable at all for sleeping. I would definitely stay again and recommend this home for any getaway."Guest: Michelle Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 6, 2014View listing
"The listing and photos were very indicative of the rental. It was nicely maintained and in a very nice area of overall property. Everything was clean and the realtor who helped us was extremely helpful (she actually had a stomach bug and still gave us great attention!) The only thing we would have liked was wifi and a few more baking pans--like a cookie sheet or 2. The property was well worth the rental cost and we would certainly come back again as well as recommending it to friends or anyone interested in this resort area. We enjoyed visiting the grill on the property and our whole family enjoyed all the sporting activities available on the resort. We also visited nearby Hendersonville and enjoyed the shopping and dining available there too. We had a very nice New Year's celebration at this property!"Guest: Marsha and Jeff Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 19, 2014View listing
