  • Perfect! We'll be back!

"Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely lodge. We have rented cabins in Blowing Rock every year for the last 14 years and yours is by far the nicest. Getting to the lodge was extremely easy in our family fan. Really close to all the area attractions. Edelweiss (love the name!) was pristine on arrival, extremely clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. Overall, an outstanding experience and stay … wish we didn't have to leave. We are already looking at returning in the winter. Can't wait!!!"

  • Lots of family fun

"Great location inbetween Boone, Blowing Rock and other fun mountain places. House is comfortable and homey and nicely decorated. It has everything you would need for living and playing, so don't overpack your car like I did b/c you won't need it! View from the porch is very peaceful. My only negative comment is to be prepared to have no cell service anywhere w/in the resort or at the river area if you have AT&T at least, so we were glad for the wifi in the cabin. The wifi in the indoor pool area is sketchy at best. There is wifi at the outdoor pool, and the view and surroundings up there are great, btw. Grocery stores are 10 or less minutes in both directions. Fishing wasn't that fruitful, in the ponds or the river, but you can't expect much better w/o being able to use live bait. Lots of little critters to see wondering around and the landscaping at the resort makes it quite lovely."

  • Are you kidding me?

"Are you kidding me? I kept ask myself this question. For a very reasonable rate, I'm getting a monster house with a king size bed and the most beautiful view in the Appalacian mountains? 18 minute drive off-road to the property. No one around. Beautiful home. I'd love to come back!!! If there is any downside to the property, it would be that the land borders NC public game land. So, if you're planning on going hiking or trail running, you might want to find another place to do that during western North Carolina deer season. I was up there around Sept 1st and didn't hear or see anyone until 5 min before checkout time when I met the housekeeper at the end of the driveway as I was leaving. Again, this place is absolutely secluded and beautiful."

  • Blowing Rock

"Our boy scout troop had spent several nights in blowing rock. We had such a great time. The scouts had never seen snow, and mother nature cooperated. The house was full with all the amenities you could ask for. Great location and beautiful scenery. Having hot chocolate by the fireplace with the snow coming down and the many windows to view the beauty of this property. Picture perfect memory. We would highly recommend this property to any scout troop looking for some winter activities. Very close to many skiing resorts, and tourist attractions. Great place and a great time was had by all. Thanks Again."
