"This cabin was amazing. Built with huge logs from trees felled on the property, it is amazing to behold. There is a wrap-around porchwhich is a great place for your morning coffee. Inside it is well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen, an all log stairway, a gas fireplace and nice, comfortable furniture. Although you feel like you are in the middle of the woods, you are only a few minutes away from the town of Banner Elk, which is quaint with much to offer. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this property . We met the owner of the cabin and she was extremely cordial and friendly."

"We had such a nice trip to Wolf Laurel and stayed in this adorable cabin. We had everything we needed and it was in a great location. Private and yet right near everything. We hiked a bunch, played golf, and ate at the club's restaurant. Mostly, however, we just relaxed. Our dog loved the neighborhood. SO many great places to walk her. The owners were so helpful if we needed anything. The house was super clean and the bed..... so comfortable.... we slept like babies!! We will be back. We have stayed all over the world in VRBO's and this is one of our favorite stays."

"What a great time we've had. Beautiful surroundings, refreshing lake, mountains, even a black bear were part of our experience and could not have enjoyed it more anywhere else than at Jenny's and Richard's cabin home. Great location, secluded, quiet, great for small family gatherings with plenty of privacy and space for everyone.
We had 4 adults and my fury friend Piper and each of us felt comfortable. Nicely appointed and equipped with great balcony and patio for those great evenings with a glass of vine and where memories are made. Owners were attentive, friendly and great to work with. Overall pleasant and very enjoyable mountain lake getaway spot!!!
Thank you for letting us enjoy your home. Lea & family"

"My family and I planned a Christmas get together and ski vacation for the holidays. We split the group and stayed with four of us here and 8 staying near Grandfather mountain. this house was only 10 min away from the Grandfarther mountain house and Sugar Mt. was only another 10-15 min away. We went skiing on 2 separate days and snow tubing the third day. All easy access and close to the house.
On one of the rainy days days, we went to Linville Caverns and really enjoyed the tour! Very cool caves that the younger kids loved and tour docents kept us informed about their formation and history during the civil war.
We stayed for a week and made our meals often in the fully stocked kitchen. Loved that it had everything we needed. We had plenty of room on the floor in front of the TV to watch Christmas movies with the wood stove to give us that cozy feeling. We didn't need it for heat since the whole house and both bathrooms had heaters that were more than adequate.
Bedrooms and closet space was big enough to hold all our luggage and winter gear. Master bedroom had a nice dual zone electric blanket to use at night. Plenty of towels & space in the bathrooms and being able to have a nice washer and dryer for laundry just simply completed our needs. Everything was there and ready for us.
Our Hosts, were gracious and easy to talk with to coordinate our trip. They arranged contact with the keeper of the house to give us the keys and show us where everything is in the home. They filled us in on where to get groceries and find local restaurants. The Italian Restaurant (that's it's name) was just 2 min away and had great Pizza!
So, if you're looking for a vacation home that has it all and close to local attractions, I'd definitely recommend the stay here. Enjoy!"
