"We just came back from our Christmas ski trip. Overall, this condo was great. It was close to the slopes about 10 minutes driving (4miles). 2 bedrooms and nice living room were enough for us. We mostly cooked so we used kitchen all the time. We found everything we looked for in the kitchen. Staff working there were all kind. Pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi were great after long day skiing. First two days were perfect the last day people started to come and we could not be able to park our vehicle. They told us to park down the hill and use the minivan which takes you to the condos. Even for dropping off the parents and the baby I needed to wait 20 minutes on the lower gate which security does not let you to go up the hill until some other vehicles comes down. Other than parking everything was superb. I highly recommend the place and i hope they can find another solution for parking."

"My husband and I have stayed at many VRBO homes. The weather was perfect during our nice quiet stay in the well-equipped quaint cottage. We think it is just right for a young couple with 2 young children. Plenty of parking in a relatively flat area in front of the cottage. The well-maintained private dirt road leading back to the cottage requires a vehicle with a high clearance because of the 2 pipes under the road. The internet connection was fine for us; however, we only had our iPad so we did not do major downloads or uploads.
The description and pictures are accurate. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owner provided good customer service. We would recommend the property to a young couple with young children. We REALLY loved the Carolina BBQ restaurant http://www.carolinabbqnewland.com/ and the fantastic string band. We will definitely miss the smoked chicken!"

"My family and I planned a Christmas get together and ski vacation for the holidays. We split the group and stayed with four of us here and 8 staying near Grandfather mountain. this house was only 10 min away from the Grandfarther mountain house and Sugar Mt. was only another 10-15 min away. We went skiing on 2 separate days and snow tubing the third day. All easy access and close to the house.
On one of the rainy days days, we went to Linville Caverns and really enjoyed the tour! Very cool caves that the younger kids loved and tour docents kept us informed about their formation and history during the civil war.
We stayed for a week and made our meals often in the fully stocked kitchen. Loved that it had everything we needed. We had plenty of room on the floor in front of the TV to watch Christmas movies with the wood stove to give us that cozy feeling. We didn't need it for heat since the whole house and both bathrooms had heaters that were more than adequate.
Bedrooms and closet space was big enough to hold all our luggage and winter gear. Master bedroom had a nice dual zone electric blanket to use at night. Plenty of towels & space in the bathrooms and being able to have a nice washer and dryer for laundry just simply completed our needs. Everything was there and ready for us.
Our Hosts, were gracious and easy to talk with to coordinate our trip. They arranged contact with the keeper of the house to give us the keys and show us where everything is in the home. They filled us in on where to get groceries and find local restaurants. The Italian Restaurant (that's it's name) was just 2 min away and had great Pizza!
So, if you're looking for a vacation home that has it all and close to local attractions, I'd definitely recommend the stay here. Enjoy!"
