  • Excellent Vacation Destination

"We stayed for three nights and wish it was longer. The Tree Haus was an excellent venue for our vacation. It is very quiet in a location that is within a nature setting. It is fully equipped with everything we could have asked for including a coffee maker, DVDs, board games, trail maps, and pots/pans/plates, etc. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful. We hope to get the chance to visit again soon."

  • We're all packed up and don' want to leave.

"Bob and I have packed everything up into the car and will be leaving in the morning. We've had such an enjoyable time and would love to stay forever. We've had the best nights sleeping here and the best weather anyone could ask for. Everyday the sky was Carolina blue. It got warm in the daytime but the house stayed cool without air-conditioning. We didn't even turn on the ceiling fans. We went to a lot of art galleries and studios. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We found several really good restaurants. My favorite was one on the golf course at Mt. Mitchell. The beds felt like they were new, with that extra padding on the mattresses. And the quilts and bed linens were wonderful. The kitchen was fully equipped and we had fun making meals some of the time. All the rooms had cable TV. Big selection of music too. Even classical and opera, my favorites. Candles came in handy. The big tubs with plenty of hot hot water. The waterfalls and the sounds....lulled us to sleep every night. No other noises except the birds. We don't want to leave but will surely be back!"

  • Absolutely Perfect!!

"Pictures can be so inviting, and usually I find myself disappointed once arriving at a rental. However this time the pictures did not do justice to Maggie's Place. The Cabin was exactly what we were looking for, from the wonderful stone fireplace to a front porch overlooking the lake, Maggie's cabin was perfect. The decorating told you someone really cared about providing guests with a mountain retreat experience. In the end we found ourselves wanting more, more time to fish, more time to explore & more time to breathe the fresh air. We are already planning our next visit!"

  • Restoration of our love for Beech Mountain

"We spent 3.5 weeks at this beautiful and peaceful Beech Mountain cabin. It was beautifully furnished and reflected accurately the listing photos. Heather was extremely helpful and involved from the pre-booking through the entire rental. She responded promptly to our requests and was proactive in anticipating our needs, in this case, regarding adding additional TV channels since we were staying almost a month and allowing us to extend our visit an additional weekend when the cabin became available. The lake setting was beautiful and exactly as described with wonderful waterfalls/trails which we thoroughly enjoyed. We loved the large porch with the comfy chair cushions and especially the fire pit on those chilly evenings and utilized the gas grill as well. Of course, the fall foliage was amazing and we enjoyed watching the additional colors pop out through the course of our stay. My husband caught trout just about daily, while I took my laps around the lake with our two small dogs on well maintained walking decks. PS: the dogs loved the place and we thank Heather for allowing us to bring them! We love doing puzzles and the very large dining room table allowed us to leave a puzzle in progress at one end, while still having plenty of room for dining. Our stay was everything we had hoped for and we renewed our love for Beech Mountain, as we had owned a vacation home there for 5 years. We would definitely rent the cabin again and wish to thank Heather for her very professional and efficient "property management" skills and for she and hubby's willingness to share their home with strangers. My brother and his wife from SC joined us for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well with plenty of room. As a side note, we really enjoyed having dinner at the Beech Alpine Inn which is about a 10 minute drive from the cabin and has live jazz music on Sundays (summer and fall) in a gorgeous setting. Also, we frequented our favorite Italian restaurant in Banner Elk, Bellas and also Zuzdas, which is a tapas restaurant at the bottom of Beech Mountain Parkway. Hope to rent for a month next fall!"
