"My family, wife and I, 3 girls (14,17,18) had a wonderful time here. We went to Asheville one day, about a 45 minute windy drive. Watched the World Cup soccer because the cabin did not have ESPN, surprising. Chimney Rock is 10 minutes away and has lots of good hiking trails, we all liked that. We went to the Linville Caverns, 1 hour away, which was fun and then went to the Linville Falls which was very close. Good hiking and cool waterfalls. Best part of the trip was going to Saluda and Green River Adventures to do white water rafting. Much fun. The cabin has everything you need."

"This cabin was just what we wanted for a relaxing fall trip. Pretty Lake James nearby the cabin. The cabin is on a river, easy to kayak. The cabin is clean and neat .beds were comfortable. We are looking at going back. Also the owner has lots of information books with directions and information about the area and things to see ,do or places to eat."

"Just returned from a great weekend getaway with family members. Condo is very conducive to gathering as a group to talk, eat, watch March Madness. Internet service is great. Kitchen is well equipped. View of the mountains is incredible. Plan to go back soon!"

"What an amazing trip! The cabin was everything we were looking for: a quiet retreat, a great place for entertaining our local friends, a fun place for the kids to just hang out, and surrounded by the beauty of the mountains. The swing was a huge hit with the kids as were the firefly hunts which just goes to prove preteens don't always need to have a screen in their faces to have fun! Our local friends loved the cabin and didn't even know it existed before our visit! Sure there were a few bugs and the driveway is VERY steep (some of the reviews state that 4WD is not needed and I would beg to differ as we had to trade vehicles with our local friends for the week to get to the top) but overall this is a wonderful place.
While you are in the area don't miss the Brushy Mountain Creamery for BBQ and amazing ice cream, Glenn's for old fashioned shakes, Stone Mountain State Park for an unusually beautiful hiking experience, Boone and Blowing Rock for all kinds of tourist fun, and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for some of the friendliest local folks you are likely to run across!"
