  • Mountain Vacation Perfection

"Don't miss this one....this cabin is directly adjacent to the most PERFECT stream you will ever encounter - deep pools, waterfalls and accessible by foot, just a 30 second walk from the cabin - what a property! Our family enjoyed this mountain retreat for 4 days and 3 nights in March 2015. The cabin is larger than it appears in the photos, and the extra-wide deck overlooking the stream is amazing - it had an umbrella-covered outdoor table, where we had our evening meal every night, complete with patio lights clipped onto the umbrella - very nice as it became dark. The outdoor fire pit was a major highlight of the trip - we had a fire every night, with S'mores, hot dogs, stories and pure enjoyment of this thoughtful feature. There was some firewood provided - even kindling and small branches - but my son also brought his ax and splitting wedge, making even more firewood from cut trunk pieces that were provided in a pile down the hill from the cabin. The porch swing was a big hit for the grandchildren, ages 5, 3 & 1. There's a gate at the steps entrance to the porch/deck, which provided safety for the little ones to roam on the large porch/deck. The kitchen is extremely well equipped - just bring paper towels and toilet paper. There is plenty of cabinet space - no automatic dishwasher, but every other convenience is there. How nice to have a washer & dryer with this cabin, essential with little ones. The cabin was very clean and easy to keep clean. Towels & linens are provided, though you will have to make-up your beds when you arrive, and wash/fold all linens & towels before you leave. Although we were only in the foothills, the property is so secluded, it felt as though we were deeply placed into the wilderness. There is a road just across the stream, but otherwise, we loved the privacy. The mile-long driveway is a single lane, gravel road, with some curves and hills, but if carefully driven, it's not a problem. The manager of the property, Brent, came by on our last day & is a great guy - loved to be sure the guests were having a good time and had everything they needed. Quang (one of the owners) answered all my pre-trip questions and was quick to email or call me when needed. We sent our rental payment through Pay Pal - extra convenient! Our family will definitely make this a vacation destination from now on - we hope to have a lifetime of memories for our children and grandchildren at this cabin. Thanks to the owners for this place!!"

  • Great Cabin in the Mountains

"We stayed for 1 week in Eagles Nest with my family. We all loved the cabin. Barry, the caretaker, was very helpful. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever stayed. The view was excellent, and located close to Hawksnest Tubing. The kitchen had all supplies needed, everything in working order. The wireless internet was fast and reliable. Bill, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating to our dates. Overall its an excellent cabin."

  • Great Weekend, Great Place!

"A quick weekend getaway with 4 kids! Excellent place with plenty of room for everyone and an excellent view looking towards TN. Will most likely try and stay at this same cabin in the future if we go back to Beech Mountain. The only recommendation would be to have a less formal dining room table. Other than that, excellent all the way around."
