"My husband and I have been staying in the two bedroom roundhouse for at least 13 years now. We always stay at Thanksgiving, and have only missed a couple of summers, and most recently we began going up for spring break for the last three years. The home is always clean and decorated beautifully to me. The fireplace is also wonderful during winter months. I love to pull the big chair up in front of it and snuggle in with a good book. I love sitting there and watching the snow fall during the winter months. Even at our age we have taken advantage of the hills around the homes and done a little sledding. The weather is great up on the mountain even in the summer time. When we were there recently, the last week in July, it was so comfortable with a cool breeze and low humidity. We hated going home to Florida's heat.
The thing we love most about the homes is the quietness that surrounds the area, and the beauty of nature all around us. As I read the other reviews it brought back memories of the Blue Ridge Mountains and driving through it, along with visiting the caverns and the many other places. Now we just enjoy going up to rest and relax, to renew our spirits for a time until we can come back again. Just recently Gail mentioned to us that she was afraid we would become board with coming up and staying in the roundhouse because we have done it for so long. I assured her that there was no place we would rather be then there except for a Disney a Cruise, but those do not happen no where near as often as our trips to the round house. We are looking forward even now to Thanksgiving so that we can go back, then we will be looking forward to spring break and another trip up, and don't forget a trip during the summer. There is always things to find to do. Even visiting with the locals is great. We especially love to visit Cristy's Crapft Shop there on Pensacola, she knows all about the area and has great tales to share about the area, not to mention her crafts that I love to buy. Cristy has become a great friend over the years.
Anyone visiting in any of Gail's homes there on the mountain will love it. The homes are beautiful and Gail is wonderful and always willing to help in any way she can. we are so thankful she has the homes available, it is like a home away from home for us. Even children and teens we have seen in the homes while we are there seem to really enjoy it."

"My friend and I spent a week in this delightful cottage. The furniture was comfortable, which was wonderful since we spent most of our week reading, relaxing and watching old movies. We went into Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Edneyville (for apples) and Hendersonville on a couple of days - but mostly found we enjoyed just relaxing at the cottage. Highly recommend this rental. The owner was wonderful to deal with also."

"About five years ago, my Siblings and I started going to the Blowing Rock area for a family reunion. We just got back today and this is the first time that everyone said "let's come back to this house". We loved the views, the convenience, the space, the parking.... Well basically we loved everything. We enjoyed working with the owners, they were so helpful. As soon as we can pick a date, we will be booking this house for next year. By the way, I do not usually write reviews. But when a vacation house exceeds expectations, it deserves a review."

"We stayed here for 3 nights and were 6 of us including 3 teenagers. Our purpose was to do daily hikes in the Blue Ridge and chill in the evenings. This cottage served the purpose and more. It is a cosy place and in a very quaint setting. We loved the beautifully decorated cottage and it was well
Equipped in all respects. We cooked complete meals in the evening and listened to lots of music and had a lot of fun. The owner was a very pleasant lady and very very hospitable. A wonderful stay."
