  • Best vacation!

"This was my second time staying in this cabin with my 2 sons and I can't wait to schedule next year's vacations here! It is so close to everything yet quiet and secluded. We absolutely love it! Bob is a pleasure to work with and is always there if we need anything."

  • The best of the mountains

"We rented this cabin for the location (remote) and for the trout stream. We live in Western North Carolina and didn't want to travel far to enjoy our Labor Day weekend. The trout stream was everything we hoped it would be. Our 12 year old son caught 4 rainbow trout the first morning we were there and we enjoyed a trout feast for supper. The cabin was roomier than I thought it would be with a good sized bathroom/laundry room. The living room had lots of comfortable seating and a great T.V. With a TV in every bedroom, we were all happy! We were impressed with the DVD library as well as the games, especially the American Special Edition of Monopoly. I loved sitting on the couch and looking out the picture window. The beds and pillows were very comfortable! The deck that overlooks the creek was a great place to have meals. It was a hot weekend and the A/C worked very well. While we were there, we tubed the Toe River in Loafer's Glory and enjoyed driving the quilt trail in Burnsville. It is easy to get turned around on the country roads, but we always found our way around without getting lost. We enjoyed driving around the mountains, following the river, and spying the barn quilts. People in the area take a lot of pride in their property. The roads were in great shape and it is paved all the way to the cabin. Very easy access. We enjoyed having a large crate to keep our dog in when we went tubing. There is also a portable crate that we borrowed one day to take her with us. We ate all of our meals at the cabin so we can't comment on any restaurants. Our stay was way too short, but we hope to be back! Many thanks to Bob for letting us have a late checkout since no one was checking in the day we left. That was a huge bonus. We all chipped in with the clean up and agreed it was well worth saving the money that most cabins charge for a cleaning fee!"

  • Great place for a mountain weekend stay!

"My girlfriend and I stayed in this unit to celebrate her birthday weekend! The unit was very clean and comfortable! The view of the mountain was great and it was so easy to get from the condo onto the mountain! The unit was fully stocked with everything that you could possibly need during your stay! My birthday is coming up again soon and we have already talked about renting the same unit again!"

  • Can't say enough good...

"We brought our family up for a spontaneously planned weekend to the mountains with the purpose of going to Elk River Falls. We liked the photos and description of the condo, but they did not compare to how absolutely beautiful it was in person! It was tastefully decorated with rich mountain decor with everything imaginable included. We enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit in the common area and sitting out on the gorgeous deck. It is also conveniently located to Valle Crucis and downtown Banner Elk. We really wanted to stay longer but had to get back; we will definitely be returning and referring to others (already have)."
