"we had a fantastic stay! i couldn't get over how clean and comfortable the guest house was. Pam took great care of us. Luger truly is a gentle dog and was extremely patiant with our children. The location was perfect for our family to bond and rejuvenate for the coming school year. we also brought along my elderly father in law, who enjoyed the beautiful views and the comfortable accommodations. we will be back!!"

"All the previous reviews of The Cabin are true!
I sought a secluded and peaceful respite from the busy city life for a relaxing weekend and was so very lucky to have found The Cabin. Supremely secluded and serene yet still very convenient to town/groceries and all area attractions and activities. Even so, The Cabin is clean, updated and very comfortable and the views are so incredible you won't want to leave! There's nothing like sipping coffee and reading a book in the morning while taking in the cool breeze and miles of mountains in the distance! In addition, many quiet hiking trails abound directly behind The Cabin offering both spectacular vistas and cool, canopied paths. Fianlly, with plenty of property around the home and no neighbors in view, it felt like the mountain was mine alone!
Peg was quite hospitable, very responsive and made my visit perfectly seamless and easy. All in all it was an incredibly relaxing weekend and can't wait to return!"

"The cabin was all we expected and had hoped for. Everything we needed was there. The river was a magnet for the morning coffee drinking and the afternoon adult beverage! The TV and the radio were there, but we never used them, we spent those pleasant evenings on the side porch listening to the river and chattering away about the day we had and the day we were going to have tomorrow. We had great evening meals at La Strada and Larkins on the lake and several good breakfasts at Medina's! All in all, a great trip and we are making our plans for another visit in the fall!"

"My family, husband and I with our two teenage kids, stayed here first week of August. The place was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked. There were also different kinds of board games and books available— my daughter was so excited when she saw the Twilight series, she even finish the first two books. The Rumbling Bald resort is close by (you get free pass to the resort with your stay) with all the amenities and 3 restaurants.
If you are looking for a relaxing get away, this would be an ideal place. Will definitely consider staying here again if we ever visit Lake Lure in the future."
