"I really loved this cabin. It was so neat and clean and perfectly outfitted and furnished! The stone fireplace, the jetted tub, and the deck were my favorite features. The deck offered amazing views. The location was central to so many adventurous activities."

  • What a great home!

"My husband unlocked the door and said "Wow"! The awesome mountain view is the first thing you see. The home looks exactly like the photographs and is remarkably equipped. You need nothing except your own food and beverage. The Berg Haus is very comfortably decorated and welcoming. Our visit was beautiful, but much too short! There was constant entertainment from the birds at the birdfeeder and the chipmunks stuffing their cheeks full of seed! The home is kept very clean and neat. Just minutes from amazing Zip Lining at Hawk's Nest and a short drive to Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. The steep roads makes a great morning workout to start your day! We will be back and are telling everyone we know how great it is."

  • Best Bang for the Buck for those seeking Mountain Bliss

"Our family of 4 had the opportunity to enjoy an late March stay at the Honey Bear. The house presents exactly as shown in the pictures with wonderful views and a fresh and fun interior that both the parents and children enjoyed. The house was super clean and well maintained. We were treated to a late season snow on the first night but the wood burning stove with ample wood kept us nice and toasty as we watched the swirling snow outside. We awoke to 3 to 4 inches on the ground but the streets had already been cleared by day break. We spent the second day exploring the local area and had a great hike at nearby Linville Falls. We enjoyed the final brisk morning sipping coffee in the hot tube while the kids splashed around. We ended the weekend by heading into Blowing Rock for the day which was a great combination of neat shops, cool parks, and diverse dining options. For those wanting to experience high country living with access to unlimited activities… This is the house for you!"

  • Warm, welcoming retreat

"This house was fantastic. The reviews looked too good to be true but this place was the real deal. Clean, inviting, well cared for home in an ideal location. Stayed warm inside even when it dropped below 0 outside. Roads are well plowed and sanded but bring your 4x4 in the winter for sure. Walking distance to Hawks Nest for tubing and zip line - 800 yards or so."
