"This is the second visit my husband and I have enjoyed a vacation of total relaxation at "High Country Fever"! The cabin has a breath taking view of Grandfather Mountain, which we enjoyed while sipping our morning coffee on the rocking chair front porch and unwinding in the evenings in the warm water of the outdoor spa tub. You feel a million miles away from the real world, but the location of the cabin is perfect to enjoy any of the activities that the 'High Country" offers. The cabin is clean, comfortable and has a well appointed kitchen plus has the convenience of a gas log fireplace for quiet cozy nights inside."

"My husband and I found the Honey Bear House to be perfect for a recent weekend getaway. We loved how quiet, cozy and well-maintained the home is. There are neighbors on both sides, but the house is set up, including the hot tub, in a way that you feel like you';re secluded. The Lail's have created a beautiful home away from home and we felt right at home within minutes. We enjoyed our morning in nearby Banner Elk and our visit to Grandfather Winery, which is literally a few minutes from the house. Kitchen is very well-stocked and there's a grill on the deck so you can enjoy the view while cooking and eating dinner. We look forward to going back and taking the kids and hiking at the new Otter Falls Trail right there at Seven Devils! Thanks, Matt and family, for opening up your home so we could also feel at home on our mini-vacation! Hope to see the Honey Bear House again soon!"

"We stayed for 1 week in Eagles Nest with my family. We all loved the cabin. Barry, the caretaker, was very helpful. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever stayed. The view was excellent, and located close to Hawksnest Tubing. The kitchen had all supplies needed, everything in working order. The wireless internet was fast and reliable. Bill, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating to our dates. Overall its an excellent cabin."
