  • Streams, meadows and trails.

"What a getaway! We spent 3 nights in the lodge bunk-room with our dog as all other rooms were full. We loved having coffee on the front porch with the mountain vista and seeing the early morning deer. We went on a couple of hikes on the property and lazed about on the open meadows. Patsy and her daughter Becky make you feel right at home. The Lodge Living room/dining room is great. We met the other guests and played cards and games with them and in the evening my husband played the piano and we shared some wine. This is a very relaxing and quiet place to stay. If you are looking for hot tubs and large screen TVs, then this is not for you. There is wi-fi. The town of Spruce Pine is nearby with a great grocery and restaurant, as well as a wal-mart etc.. The rates are fantastic as are the views. We will be back same time next year."

  • Peace in the NC mountains

"Parkway Peek was a great place to unwind and get back to nature. The bed in the master bedroom looks out on the Black Mountains, and the property was actually more beautiful than the listing photos. The owner was available by phone and email to answer my questions. We enjoyed being near Spruce Pine and Little Switzerland. Many local businesses linked us to the best in NC and the world. DT's in Spruce Pine was the place to enjoy coffee, pastry, and sandwiches, and a great way to bump into old friends. The Twisted Laurel gallery in Downtown Spruce Pine showcases local (and world reknowned) artists in wood, clay, and glass, Little Switzerland Downtown (LSD) is also a great place to eat lunch and drink in the mountain air. All I can say is: "Love (and art) is in the air" in the NC Mountains, and Parkway Peek is a great place to renew and refresh."

  • Awesome Escape!

"In desperate need of a last minute getaway for my husband and I, we found this cabin online. It looked nice, so with some hesitation, we made the reservation. A few days later we arrived at our little safe haven. We were impressed! This quaint cabin was spotless and had everything we needed to kick back and enjoy each other's company. We relaxed in front of the fireplace after taking in the rural seclusion from the hot tub. When we ventured out we took advantage of some of the excellent recommendations from Jill. This was a great respite for us and we will most certainly be back. Thank you for making our time special. Candi Hamilton"

  • Awesome Home with an Amazing View

"My family and I were blown away by this home and the view from the deck was spectacular. Great floorplan and decor (local in feel but not kitschy). It rained almost every day on our brief visit, but still found plenty to do in Spruce Pine, Bakersville and Asheville. The house was very comfortable, quiet and with a great kitchen to prepare meals in. The communication with the owner was quick, easy and super friendly. Easy access to local attractions and just a few minutes from a "secret" road to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Many thanks! A++"
