  • Our Wonderful Stay at Parkway Peek

"What a wonderful time we had at Parkway Peek! This is a very comfortable and beautifully decorated home with a fabulous view! It is also very well equip with lots of cozy blankets an comforters in the bedrooms and plenty of nice pots and pans and dishes and glasses in the kitchen. There is a big deck and a big screened in porch overlooking the mountains, as well as a lovely view from the master bedroom and living room. On top of being a great place to stay, the location is ideal. In no time we were in downtown Asheville or on one of the many lovely hiking trails, Linville Falls, Crabtree Falls, Springmaid etc., or viewing and buying arts and crafts at Penland Crafts School or one of the many art galleries and open artist's studios scattered throughout Asheville and many small surrounding towns. The parkway is right there and provides easy and scenic drives to Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Moses Cone etc. And right in Spruce Pine there are fine galleries and one of the best restaurants in NC , Knife and Fork, for a casual but romantic and gastronomically delightful experience. Make your reservations early. The owners of Parkway Peek, Lesli and David, are very accommodating and very nice. So book now if you want a mountain vacation with all of the comforts of home with in reach of almost all the mountains have to offer!"

  • Photographer's cozy nest

"Being a lover of the outdoors and a photographer, I'm drawn to these mountains every year and have consequently stayed in many rental cabins. But, I'm happy to say, this one is definitely my favorite. In addition to its great location near the Blue Ridge Parkway with all its scenic attractions and hiking trails, the cabin's amenities are first rate. There's plenty of storage for clothes and equipment, an outstanding kitchen and dinning area for family meals, plus comfortable and attractive furnishings throughout the home. If you are looking for a home away from home, this cabin with its peaceful setting and great views of the surrounding mountains is one I would recommend."

  • mountain top

"My son, nephew, and his son, and I stayed here for 4 nights. The cabin and location were everything promised. The view was spectacular. The cabin had plenty of linens, dishes, etc. The last 1/4 mile of road is very steep and curvy, but safe. The cabin was no more than 15 minutes from Spruce Pine, which has an excellent restaurant, a full service grocery store, and a super Walmart."

  • Cozy cabin in wonderful location

"We had four adults in Cabin 2 in October and it was perfect. Cabins are in a great location - right off the the Parkway - and it was easy to get to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and tons of other great places. The road to the cabin is in good shape. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable (and the loft is huge) and the living area with the fireplace is so cozy. We loved the high, high ceilings! The hot tub was wonderful and we had a great view. The cabin had several helpful guidebooks in it - we used one for hike suggestions. Jill helped us plan a very last-minute getaway with our in-laws (from Ohio) and we were so grateful."
