Recent Blue Ridge Mountains reviews

"These quarters are not for everyone-only the most discriminating. This place is not for those who do not have an appreciation for fine furnishings. This place is not for those who just watch television and don't mind a cacophonous environment. This place is also not for those who, for whatever reason, are not impressed by breathtaking mountain views. This place is for those who appreciate the finer things in life and enjoy a serene atmosphere in which to escape the treadmill of life. A superbly comfortable bed, a perfectly equipped kitchen, and a hammock on the deck complete the picture."

  • Good Last Minute Getaway

"Owner provided a brand new tempur topper for mattress because I mentioned I had a back sprain. This was very kind! Hot tub jets didn't work (no matter how many buttons we pushed, lol), but it was a cozy and cute place, very clean! Yes, we had upstairs neighbors as mentioned in earlier reviews, but it was not a problem, and still felt private, and it had a huge yard for my pups to run around in. Thanks for allowing pets to come, it always makes me feel more at home to have my dogs with me. This is a 30 minutes drive from the ski hills, but it was a very last minute getaway on the busiest ski weekend of the year, so I was happy to have a cozy, clean place available. If you're looking to hang out in Boone, its very close by and has some great local restaurants."

  • Great family weekend

"We all had a wonderful time ages 1-54 years old. House was all as promised, clean well kept, comfortable plenty to do right there. I never left the property. Others went skiing, hiking and sledding. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace the wood was there as requested. It was very relaxing and I look forward to returning again."

  • Amazing view, adorable cabin, great place!

"My fiancé and I were tired of the city and decided to retreat to this adorable cabin on the top of a ridge on 21 acres for a month. Look no further if you are looking for a great view, comfortable cabin with everything you need, and close enough to town for easy trips in for quick errands. Peg and David were amazing hosts. Once we settled in, Peg provided many options for hiking, sights to see, and answered any questions we had right away. The drive to the cabin for the first time ( and each time after ) was so exciting. It takes you through the trees slowly up until you reach the cabin, and the view and feeling you get up top is so peaceful. Linville Falls, great local restaurants, blue ridge parkway, lots of hiking, Grandfather Mountain, Boone and wineries just to name a few of the nearby attractions. We were also lucky enough to see an array of birds and a couple of deer visits as well. There's hiking right on the property too! We were just soooo happy and impressed with our decision, and if you are looking to get away to the peace of the woods, you will not be disappointed!!"
