  • Great for family with young kids

"This cabin suited us perfectly! We took our two young children to see snow for the first time and had a ball. The neighborhood was nice, the cabin was clean. Centrally located, making Beech, Sugar, Hawksnest, and Boone easily accessible. Loved the fireplace and jacuzzi! Owner was easy to work with."

  • Family Reunion

"The house is exactly as it was described. It is very comfortable for a big family. This is our 6th visit to the ski resorts (both Beech and Sugar Mountains) and the house is perfect for ski lovers. The house is approximately 500 ft. from the entrance to Beech Mountain Resort. The bedrooms are spacious, the furniture is comfortable and it is equipped with everything we needed. We celebrated our family reunion at this house and the four bedrooms housed eight adults and my 4-month old granddaughter and there was sleeping space for four more. The house is practically new and everything was clean. We would love to rent this house again during the spring season to enjoy the creeks on the property and its beautiful surroundings."

  • Best Vacation Ever!!!

"My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with our choice to stay in this beautiful home for our yearly winter vacation. This home was everything we were looking for and more. We walked in and the first impression was amazing; very clean, fire place was on, hot tub ready to go. During our stay we were able to get some good skiing in, ate well and definitely enjoyed our quiet, romantic get away. The owner, Judy was extremely pleasant and accommodating. I have already referred to quite a few of our friends and 2 couples have already booked their stay! Judy gave us a discount towards our next stay for the referrals and we are BOOKED AGAIN for next year!!! LOVED IT."

  • Charming & Immaculate

"This is a beautiful and cozy home very close to downtown with every possible thing you could possibly need provided for you (except maybe wifi, but there are much better things to do in Black Mountain besides surf your computer so we didn't mind too much...we never even turned on the TV). It is quite possibly the cleanest rental home I've ever seen. The caretaker, Darlene, does a bang-up job and she really worked hard to turn the house around from the renters who vacated that day so we could get in before dinner. She has an impressive garden on the property and invited us to eat whatever we would like from it. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved lying in the grass under the massive oak in the front yard. The deck is fabulous and we enjoyed breakfasts out there at the huge handmade wooden table. We loved all the solar lighting outside greeting us when we returned home in the evening from nights out in Black Mountain. The upstairs bedroom is quite warm in the summer, but cooled down quickly at night with fans and the window open. We were 5 couples traveling together and Karen's other property next door, the Craftsman Cottage, provided us the extra 2 bedrooms we needed to accommodate everyone. I would highly recommend this property for your trip to Black Mountain."
