Super Clean, Comfortable, Nice Neighborhood, So Much to See in the Area
"We could not have picked a more perfect place for our vacation. Blowing Rock has something for all ages. We spent lots of time traveling on the parkway seeing new things and different towns. We took in lots of shops and enjoyed so many antique stores in Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. We did go mining for gems and took in Tweetsie Railroad all in one day. Woodlands is a great place for families even though they have a bar on one floor. The music there was nice and the food was great. We also treated ourselves to one evening at Canyon's, great view there. Caleb's was quite comfortable and close to the parkway. The nice neighborhood makes you want to just stay around the house where it is cool and comfortable. We enjoyed Netflix and think maybe we should have it for ourselves when we get home. Glad you have now opened up the gameroom downstairs as I had my teenage daughter with me on this get-away. Misty Mountain is a very nice neighborhood to vacation in without feeling in the middle of a touristy town for sure. All the neighbors are either very quiet or not at home, I couldn't decide. We plan to recommend Caleb's to all our friends and co-workers. I took the liberty to read some of your novels while I was there. And also enjoyed part of the book, 'Sybil'. Our son enjoyed all the video games downstairs while our daughter played the Wii upstairs. Loads of privacy for all to enjoy. We plan to go back either late fall or early winter. I will let you know as soon as we find out when we can get away. Thanks for all your wonderful hospitality."

Another great vacation in a beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting.
"We have just spent a great Easter weekend with family and friends and are reminded of the important things in life. Our long hikes on the property and just siting on the porch staring at the mountains has given us all the recharge we so desperately needed. Work has had us traveling out of the country for most of the past two years and I can honestly say there is no place we'd rather be. Thanks Shanaaz for having the place looking so great."

"My husband and I visited the Blue Ridge Hideaway mid-May for a week with our two dogs. We had such an amazing visit! It was so great to rent a BEAUTIFUL home AND it be dog friendly. This is so hard to find this combination! You would never know dogs have stayed there before.
Our walks to the river lot were wonderful and listening to/seeing the wildlife while sitting on the front porch swing with a book was so relaxing. The house is close to West Jefferson and a few State Parks which we went hiking at (all dog friendly). We hardly ate out at all which is rare for us on vacation. The house was so welcoming and the kitchen so nice that we ended up eating there and using the charcoal grill the entire time we visited.
My husband was able to fish the New River on the included lot and also quite a few other spots in the nearby area. Great trout fishing! The dogs had a field day playing in the yard and running around in the river when we visited the lot. My concern was that it was be fast moving and deep, but it was the exact opposite when we visited. It's lazy and shallow enough in parts for the dogs to run. They loved it!
Thank you Karla for sharing your wonderful home with us!! We plan to be back!"

"What a beautiful and private getaway! I came to Tall Timbers for a 10 day writing retreat and everything about this place was perfect. The weather in mid-July was sunny and cool, the little creek was flowing day and night, providing a refreshing soundtrack to the natural beauty of the mountains. The cabin is very cozy and private, just as it looks! If you need anything at all, Kerin is very responsive and so knowledgeable about all the happenings around the mountain. I will definitely be back! Don't miss the chance to visit this little slice of heaven!"
