Perfect house for our first family vacation
"What a perfect house to spend a week at the beach with the entire family (13 in all) which included my 87 year old mother in-law, her children and their children (youngest is 16).
The house is spacious, well equipped and has a spectacular view located right on the beach. Each bedroom has an exterior deck. We spent so much time together and yet we never felt crowded. Many of our local family members came to visit. There was always room. This was our first VRBO rental and hopefully not our last. The staff at Wave's Edge is so professional, true southern charm. I hope to come back soon."

"Home and location were perfect. You couldn't have more convenient beach and pool access, and the area was amazing, quiet and scenic. The home was comfortable, and the only negative we experienced was the 3rd floor half bath was unusable due to being painted and renovated (we didn't know this, but it wasn't a big deal)
We have been to many beaches in NC and SC, and this one was a HIT with our children for it's uncrowded expanse and the amazing amounts of shells to be found on the beach. The owner (Nick) answered my many emails promptly, and his suggestions for dining and the area were very helpful.
This home was nice, clean and in a perfect location. The only real complaint was that our stay was too short."

"We loved everything about staying here for our trip to the beach. Here are our top 3 reasons:
1 - Location! - It's close to Beaufort, Morehead, Lighthouse and Aquarium for lots of activities. Yet, it's still on a large beach that is quiet and tranquil.
2 - The condo is beautifully decorated with everything we needed. It has a beach vibe, is very comfortable and had all the amenities of home and more. When we weren't exploring the surroundings, we were enjoying family time together in the condo, especially with the view of the beach directly overhead from the balcony.
3 - The beach is easily accessible. After playing on the beach during the day, it was also nice walking out late at night and pointing out all the stars and constellations to the kids that we don't get to see at home. We spotted a couple falling stars that the kids won't forget!
It was a truly memorable trip. And staying at a place that had everything we needed made it so easy to just focus on a relaxation and making lifelong family memories!"

"I booked a room at Seahawk Inn and Villas after deciding that I'd really like my family to get to stay in a hotel right on the beach, and as soon as we got there, I knew I'd made the right decision!
Even before our stay, I couldn't get over how nice the woman who answered the phone was! This was my first visit to Atlantic Beach in over 20 years, and I was excited to introduce my California-raised daughters to some Southern hospitality and charm. I have to say that everyone who works at Seahawk was the personification of sweet and friendly Southern manners, from the people at the front desk to the cleaning staff.
Not only was the room clean and pleasant, but the pool was lovely, with lots of umbrellas for those of us who need the sun protection. The staff also set up comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas on the beach for guests to use. My kids loved the hammocks on the grounds, too!
Another great perk of the Seahawk is that they have several bicycles that you can borrow, free of charge, to tool around the island. My daughter and I really enjoyed riding up and down Salter Path Road to get ice cream, visit the shopping center nearby, and just to explore. They even had a bicycle small enough for my eleven-year-old!
If you're looking for super-fancy, luxury accommodations, this may not be the place for you. But if you'd like a reasonably-priced, comfortable hotel with a pool right on the beach, I highly recommend the Seahawk! I would happily return year after year."
