  • Perfect Family Vacation!

"Our family of 7 loved our time at your wonderful home over Easter weekend. What a fun surprise to find not only a DELICIOUS homemade cake waiting for us on the dining room table, but also an Easter basket filled with goodies for our children! Such attention to details made our visit so memorable and very special! Pam and John have thought of everything to make you feel like you are staying in your best friend's house. We enjoyed feeding all of the friendly animals and loved taking the kayaks out to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and even a sunrise! We loved the large kitchen and the fun game room! I can't wait to come back to this little piece of heaven. Thanks!"

  • Enjoyed our stay in Beaufort.

"We loved the Sunset Lane cottage with its' coastal colors and beach decore'. It was roomy and comfortable for our family and the friends who visited us. The location was great in that we were able to walk to restaurants, shops, and enjoy looking at the charming houses and gardens in town. I would not hesitate to come back and stay here again."

  • Highly Recommended

"I would highly recommend this place for those who are looking for something peaceful and relaxing that is off the main thoroughfare but very close to lots of entertainment and village shopping. This place is tucked away off the main streets of Beaufort in a quaint, quiet little neighborhood, however, it is only 2 blocks from the main waterfront of Beaufort where one can find find excellent restaurants, small village shoppes, museums, and an assortment of bars with local musicians to entertain the guests. We took a beautiful sunset stroll down to the waterfront one evening for dining and drinks on the water. The weather is perfect in the fall and you can park the car and enjoy the outdoors with walks to everywhere you need to go."

  • Beaufort House as pleasant as advertised at Shell Landing

"The highest compliment we can provide you about our six night stay in your home in Beaufort is that we would come back again. We really liked your house and the setting and the location. We had a very comfortable vacation in your home. Very quiet, very restful, very convenient, very pleasant. We even saw dolphins on Thursday morning — just as advertised! Our 88 year old mothers enjoyed their stay as much as my wife and I did. The two steps up into the front door were no problem for either of them even though they both have some significant mobility issues. We put my mom in the bedroom with the TV and the walk-in shower. It was perfect for her. My wife's mom took the bedroom next to the hall bathroom also with a walk-in shower. That room was perfect for her. My wife and I (in our mid-60s) took the bedroom with the view to the east over the North River. What a great view in the early morning! The half bath in this room is a great amenity as well. We worked many jigsaw puzzles on your dining room table. It was great to have a place to leave an unfinished puzzle and return to it from time to time. My wife and I got hooked on doing the puzzles, but would always leave a handful of pieces for the two moms to finish each morning. Your televisions worked well during our entire visit and we really appreciated the full complement of satellite/cable offerings. The Internet and Wi-Fi were fine also. The heat and AC also worked perfectly. The kitchen and oak table nearby were just right for the four of us for breakfast and supper. (We enjoyed several area cafés for our lunches.) The broiler setting for your oven worked superbly for the fresh asparagus we picked up at the Saturday morning Farmer's Market in Beaufort and the fresh flounder we got at Fishtowne Seafood market close to your house. Again, we had a lovely time and we're glad we chose your home as a vacation rental. Your caretaker/manager left us a very instructive welcome note. We didn't need to contact her for anything during our stay. Nice to know, though, that she was right across the street if we had needed her assistance. Congratulations on a five-star rental home."
