"Had a wonderful time on Emerald Isle and at Screaming Eagle rental. Comfortable living room to gather and play games and do puzzles ( provided by owner) . House well equipped with beach chairs and kitchen items. Weather was wonderful one of the weekend days and the beautiful beach only steps away was magnificent. So worth getting up early and seeing the ocean and beach with a cup of coffee at the end of the walkway. Perfect place to sit on the benches! Outdoor hot and cold shower was real treat. As a rental property owner myself, I appreciate what it goes in to maintaining a property. Thanks !"Guest: Carole B. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 18, 2014View listing
"George and Suzanne - We had another great visit to your beach house! Hard to believe we've been coming for about 10 years, sometimes twice a year!!! The amenities and attention to detail are great as is your hospitality. You treat us like part of your family. Discovered some great restaurants this year. Hope to see you next season!"Guest: Bob Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 9, 2014View listing
"To start, Suzanne the owner couldn't have been easier to work with. My husband and I took our first post-baby trip here, with our 8 month old son. The condo worked very well for the baby. The bedroom has large accordion-style doors and, when opened, it makes the place feel like a large, sunny studio. It is a very easy walk to the beach and the large pool was awesome. The price was reasonable (we went off-season, over Labor Day weekend). I loved how close it was to the grocery store and my husband and I had a great meal at Rucker Johns. The two decks are awesome and quite private. You can see and hear the ocean, although you're not right on it. There's a paved path nearby that is great for running and I was happy to get my work-outs in. As I've heard others say, Camp Lejeune is nearby and military aircraft do fly overhead quite often. I couldn't believe how loud they were. For us, it was like a free airshow, and we loved it! There were a few negatives that I was surprised people didn't mention in their reviews but I wouldn't 'not' go here based on the few negatives. The only provided trash bags were small plastic shopping bags and there was only one or two uses of hand soap left, so we had to purchase those. The fridge was empty and we were told there'd be condiments, but we didn't need them anyhow. We did have to buy salt, as the only salt provided was 'Lite'. The doors to the bedroom don't shut so there is an approximate 5" gap which lets in a lot of light if you're trying to sleep...we tied a string around the outside to keep them closed...but when I needed to get out, I had to ask to be released. Also, the second pool was closed right after Labor Day, the second day of our trip. It didn't matter, though, as the larger pool stayed open and was uncrowded. The toilet tanks took at least 5 minutes to fill up, so no chain-flushing allowed. The kitchen is dated and the stove had some numbers rubbed off so cooking was a little bit of a guessing game (I guessed right). Overall, this place is a great deal, in a great location and I would certainly recommend it."Guest: Leah Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 8, 2014View listing
"Atlantic East was a wonderful house for our multi-generational family of 9. Great space, several bedrooms overlooking the ocean with decks; great pool and decking to the ocean. The house is very well maintained and decorated. We loved our stay and hope to return next year."Guest: Karen's Review Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 24, 2014View listing
Emerald Isle Travel Tips
Enjoy Emerald Isle Vacation Rentals
On the Atlantic coast of North Carolina, one of the most beautiful states in the east, you will find the small town of Emerald Isle. Emerald Isle is primarily a beach resort town just south of the larger Morehead City. During the summer, Emerald Isle vacation rentals are in high demand ranging from Emerald Isle condos to houses situated right on the sandy beaches. If you are planning your stay in these gorgeous North Carolina beach rentals, plan to arrive via Route 58 as that is the only way into town.
Getting around Emerald Isle Condos
Once you arrive at any of the great North Carolina beach rentals, you will quickly ditch the car and head for the hills on your bike or by foot. In fact, most Emerald Isle vacation rentals are within very close proximity to the many new bike paths that were implemented between 2006 and 2007. Because the scenery is so beautiful in this sleepy beach town, you will not mind renting a bike for everyone in the family or simply taking a walk to reach your destination.
What to Look for near North Carolina Beach Rentals
Obviously, when you book Emerald Isle condos, you will see plenty of the beach. But what else can you catch a glimpse of? Look up toward the sky for a peek at military jets soaring high above as they practice routine drills. If your North Carolina beach rentals are near the west side, head out to “The Point” during either high or low tide. The view is spectacular; beware of the water’s current as it is very strong.
Exciting Emerald Isle Vacation Rentals
If you are the type of person who loves to plan your own vacation without the hassle of dealing with organized tours, booking your own Emerald Isle condos is a great way to go. Staying in just about any of the Emerald Isle vacation rentals, you will find that there is plenty to do, and you will not need to spend days booking a tour. You can go deep-sea diving, deep-sea fishing, skim boarding, kayaking, shopping, and so much more. The possibilities are endless, so what are you waiting for?
