  • Great house for a family vacation!

"Beautiful beach and unbeatable views from both decks. Very comfortable home with everything a family needs. Allowing guest to use the beach supplies is very helpful for a family traveling many hours with a very full vehicle. The owner was extremely helpful and easy to communicate and deal with. Hope to return soon!"

  • Heaven!

"We just had our second stay at Sunkissed and this visit was every bit as wonderful as the first. Spacious, beautiful house, EASY walk to beautiful beach (LOVE the cart!). We have rented homes on VRBO all over the country, and my husband said this was the best house out of all of them! Our hints for a great stay in Emerald Isle include: ~ Don't shop at Food Lion on Saturday, too busy and prices are increased on that day. Go over the bridge and turn left to go to Piggly Wiggly just down the road! ~ Sweet Spot has great ice cream and if you want you can get a single scoop that is split so you can try two flavors, saves cash and heartache! LOL! ~ Jordan's has fantastic food and good prices, the softshell crab is a treat! ~ Bogue Inlet pier is a a great place to see dolphins, jellyfish, bull sharks, etc. For $10 you can get a pass to fish for the day, rent a rod and bait and have fun! This ended up being one of our favorite days! ~ Fort Macon is an interesting place to visit, check the website to find out when they have cannon and musket demonstrations. ~ Rucker John's has an hour wait for a table usually, but well worth it! The food was delicious. You can't go wrong renting this house! Clean, comfortable, and very, very spacious. Enjoy!!!"

  • A Wonderful Home Away From Home!

"My extended family (4 generations) stayed at Scilly Cat for a week July 2012 and absolutely loved it. I can't speak highly enough about the variety of available kitchen appliances, very well appointed; we wanted for nothing, and that wins major brownie points with us as we do a lot of home cooking to save on costs. The closet full of VHS, DVDs, board games, and entertaining books was great. The porches, both screened and open air, were well used, as was the charming golf cart whose color matches the house. Having a private swimming pool and loungers is a delight, even being so darn close to the ocean and larger community pool, and the dark blue color collects the daytime heat to keep it toasty in the evenings. Made much use of the private exercise area, which is a gem to have available when your local health club is several states away. Full sized washer and dryer also saw much use. The home itself is very well maintained, A+. This is an excellent rental, perhaps my favorite in the 10 years my family has been visiting Emerald Isle."

  • Adorable Place!

"My family and I rented this place last summer and I have to say it was really adorable! The decor is too cute and the location is perfect! Swimming pool is really tiny, but worked just fine! :)"

Emerald Isle Travel Tips

Enjoy Emerald Isle Vacation Rentals

On the Atlantic coast of North Carolina, one of the most beautiful states in the east, you will find the small town of Emerald Isle. Emerald Isle is primarily a beach resort town just south of the larger Morehead City. During the summer, Emerald Isle vacation rentals are in high demand ranging from Emerald Isle condos to houses situated right on the sandy beaches. If you are planning your stay in these gorgeous North Carolina beach rentals, plan to arrive via Route 58 as that is the only way into town.

Getting around Emerald Isle Condos

Once you arrive at any of the great North Carolina beach rentals, you will quickly ditch the car and head for the hills on your bike or by foot. In fact, most Emerald Isle vacation rentals are within very close proximity to the many new bike paths that were implemented between 2006 and 2007. Because the scenery is so beautiful in this sleepy beach town, you will not mind renting a bike for everyone in the family or simply taking a walk to reach your destination.

What to Look for near North Carolina Beach Rentals

Obviously, when you book Emerald Isle condos, you will see plenty of the beach. But what else can you catch a glimpse of? Look up toward the sky for a peek at military jets soaring high above as they practice routine drills. If your North Carolina beach rentals are near the west side, head out to “The Point” during either high or low tide. The view is spectacular; beware of the water’s current as it is very strong.

Exciting Emerald Isle Vacation Rentals

If you are the type of person who loves to plan your own vacation without the hassle of dealing with organized tours, booking your own Emerald Isle condos is a great way to go. Staying in just about any of the Emerald Isle vacation rentals, you will find that there is plenty to do, and you will not need to spend days booking a tour. You can go deep-sea diving, deep-sea fishing, skim boarding, kayaking, shopping, and so much more. The possibilities are endless, so what are you waiting for?
