  • Great location!

"This condo was perfect. Awesome location...steps from the beach, great ocean view, and perfect pool view as well. Space was nicely decorated and the hard wood floors are a nice touch. We will definitely be back!"

  • Heaven!

"We just had our second stay at Sunkissed and this visit was every bit as wonderful as the first. Spacious, beautiful house, EASY walk to beautiful beach (LOVE the cart!). We have rented homes on VRBO all over the country, and my husband said this was the best house out of all of them! Our hints for a great stay in Emerald Isle include: ~ Don't shop at Food Lion on Saturday, too busy and prices are increased on that day. Go over the bridge and turn left to go to Piggly Wiggly just down the road! ~ Sweet Spot has great ice cream and if you want you can get a single scoop that is split so you can try two flavors, saves cash and heartache! LOL! ~ Jordan's has fantastic food and good prices, the softshell crab is a treat! ~ Bogue Inlet pier is a a great place to see dolphins, jellyfish, bull sharks, etc. For $10 you can get a pass to fish for the day, rent a rod and bait and have fun! This ended up being one of our favorite days! ~ Fort Macon is an interesting place to visit, check the website to find out when they have cannon and musket demonstrations. ~ Rucker John's has an hour wait for a table usually, but well worth it! The food was delicious. You can't go wrong renting this house! Clean, comfortable, and very, very spacious. Enjoy!!!"

  • Perfect Vacation Spot

"This was my family's third trip to this home, and the pictures online don't do the house justice. THE VIEWS: Three of the bedrooms have large sliding glass doors and a window that lead comfortably sized decks overlooking the ocean. There are three levels of decking, each level of deck provides some shade / covering for the deck below. Not to worry, because the manner in which the decks are placed ensures there is always plenty of sun or shade on each level; it's just a matter of moving your chair. THE HOUSE: All the rooms are large and plenty spacious for a crowd of people. The dining table seats 8 easily, and an additional 4 people can sit at the bar on comfy barstools to dine if you have a full house. There are plenty of bathrooms for everyone and we never ran out of hot water. All of the outdoor decks feature plenty of comfortable chairs for enjoying the sun... and the owners have graciously provided a number of beach chairs and toys that are stored downstairs off the garage area. THE LOCATION: The lot on which the house is situated is lushly covered with grass and palms trees and it features a nicely paved large concrete drive way that extended under the house providing a great deal of sandless parking space. SUMMARY: The house, the location, the views, the three levels of decks, the well equipped kitchen all help contribute to a vacation that is relaxing, comfortable and memorable."

  • Wonderful Family Vacation

"This was the first time we had taken our girls to the beach (age 2 and 6). Kailua Cottage was perfect for our family. It was very clean and nicely kept. I didn't mind letting my little ones walk around barefoot (which I would never do in a hotel!) It was so nice to have access to the owners sand toys, kites, and chairs and not have to worry about buying them for our long weekend. The outside shower was wonderful to wash off my girls after rolling around in the sand - plus it was a fun treat to be able to shower outside! The distant from the beach was not too far for our 2 year old to walk. We ate almost every meal outside on the picnic table and I enjoyed having the gate that went across the deck as so I could run in and not fear my little one would tumble down the stairs. It was a short drive to the aquarium and Ft. Fisher which were nice to visit. My oldest wants to move in and stay here forever! We can't wait to plan another visit in this great house! Thank you for making our families first beach trip such a great one! We can't wait to come again next year."
