  • Beautiful Place, Beautiful Views!

"We loved this house. It was in a great location that was close to stores and things to do, but also not in a highly crowded area of the beach. We were there for a wedding, so we wanted to be close to the venue, and this was only a mile or so a way. Very clean, nice furniture and all the appliances were nice. Rooms were good size and plenty of bathrooms for everyone we had, which was 8 total. Had it's own walkway to the beach, which was very short, so it was easy carrying all of our stuff back the house at the end of the day. Owners were very easy to work with too. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • THIS IS THE PLACE!!

"This is the first time I have used the Home Away and it was a real breeze. The house exceeded expectations and it was everything I could have hoped for and more! It was impeccably clean-I've stayed at a previous beach house and it had a definite mildew smell and we had to bring in Lysol, plug-in and Febreeze. This place was glorious. The views were just outstanding even being 4th row. There were really no houses in front of us so we were able to enjoy the view. There is plenty of room in the house and there is something to be said about an outdoor shower after a day at the beach. Will never rent a house without one again! Hands down the best thing ever. My only complaints were the queen bed is probably going to need to be replaced-it has a marked indent that at times makes you clutch the side of the bed to keep from rolling into your bedmate. And we wish we had a screened portion of the porch on the top level with seating. We loved sitting out there and chatting but between the bees in the day and the mosquitos at night we really limited our time out there."

  • Absolutely Loved it Here!

"My wife and I stayed here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We love it here. The house is nice and cozy with a huge kitchen and deck. There are no close by neighbors so it's nice and quiet. The outside fireplace is more amazing than the pictures show. The dock is huge and the fishing and crabbing was excellent. We actually rode out Hurricane Arthur here. There is a free ferry across the river only 10 minutes from the house allowing for quick access to Morehead City and Atlantic Beach. Chris is the best vacation property owner that I have ever had the pleasure to rent from. You having a great stay is obviously his primary concern. I look forward to staying here again. Thank you Chris!"

  • Perfect beach house

"This was the best maintained and furnished beach house that we have ever stayed in! It was clean when we arrived. We only had one minor issue (with a door) and when we called, a man was out and had it fixed in less than 2 hours! We love Emerald Isle! It is a great place for a family vacation!"

Staying in New Bern vacation homes allows you to live like a local, and get to know the neighbors. Invite them along with your family when you visit Tarheel Adventures. The tour will explain the second oldest town in all of North Carolina, New Bern, and show visitors the birthplace of the world famous Pepsi Cola. For a tranquil excursion, visit Island Creek Trail for a brush with nature that will stun you, and have you snapping photos as quickly as possible! The hike will wear you out, but you will still want to visit the local fish fry that happens frequently all summer throughout the coastal towns of North Carolina.
