  • Great Family Place!

"This home was a great location to the beach, such easy access. The home was very clean and worked perfect for our family of four. The kids loved the bunk beds! The owners were very easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions. Great location to everything on Emerald Isle and surrounding areas!"

  • Best beach house I've stayed at in my entire life!

"This is the best beach house I've stayed at in my entire life! The space is perfectly planned out to efficiently fit three bedrooms and two baths, plus plenty of living space and kitchen counter top space for slicing, dicing and cooking. Last but not least, just a few short steps to the ocean. Most well equipped home, especially the kitchen, that I've ever seen. Nicer kitchen knives than I have at home! Great supplies already provided to help get you started before you can make it to the grocery store. Tons of items already there for the beach including an umbrella and toys. Very modern appliances. Everything is extremely new and clean throughout the home. We also loved the outdoor shower under the house. Never even used the indoor showers all week! Can't wait to come back next year, this time for two weeks!"

  • PARADISE!

"This was a WONDERFUL place to get some rest and relaxation! It is so peaceful and quiet and also private. I did not have to worry about how I looked in a swimsuit because no one else was around! Sitting in the hot tub under the stars on a peaceful evening, looking at the water of the Pamlico Sound was heavenly! So was cooling off in the pool during the day! There was a big yard for my dogs to run around in. Nice deck with lounge chairs to sit and read or relax or just chat. The water from the sound was shallow and fun to just wade around in or go clam digging! That was interesting! This place is definitely secluded and private and so peaceful! Indoors has wifi, and DirecTV as well as games. Felt very homey with magazines and books to read, fully furnished kitchen - bath even has a shower massage! The master bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up! Waking up looking at the sunrise over the water without even getting out of bed was so luxurious! Even the weather was perfect! This would be a great place for families with young children or a romantic get away. I couldn't believe the owners don't charge extra for pets or for linens or even cleaning! They are amazing! This is the perfect place to just get away from all the stress and business of everyday life and work. The pool and hot tub are cleaned daily and the suite is immaculet! Even the grounds are gorgeous with so many flowers! Steve was so very gracious in answering any question I had, and I had lots! He didn't even mind me calling asking for directions when I got lost! He is such a gracious host! I can't wait to go back again! It has everything I could ever want in a relaxing vacation getaway! I'd give them 7 stars if I could!"

  • Great location and nice sunny condo.

"To start, Suzanne the owner couldn't have been easier to work with. My husband and I took our first post-baby trip here, with our 8 month old son. The condo worked very well for the baby. The bedroom has large accordion-style doors and, when opened, it makes the place feel like a large, sunny studio. It is a very easy walk to the beach and the large pool was awesome. The price was reasonable (we went off-season, over Labor Day weekend). I loved how close it was to the grocery store and my husband and I had a great meal at Rucker Johns. The two decks are awesome and quite private. You can see and hear the ocean, although you're not right on it. There's a paved path nearby that is great for running and I was happy to get my work-outs in. As I've heard others say, Camp Lejeune is nearby and military aircraft do fly overhead quite often. I couldn't believe how loud they were. For us, it was like a free airshow, and we loved it! There were a few negatives that I was surprised people didn't mention in their reviews but I wouldn't 'not' go here based on the few negatives. The only provided trash bags were small plastic shopping bags and there was only one or two uses of hand soap left, so we had to purchase those. The fridge was empty and we were told there'd be condiments, but we didn't need them anyhow. We did have to buy salt, as the only salt provided was 'Lite'. The doors to the bedroom don't shut so there is an approximate 5" gap which lets in a lot of light if you're trying to sleep...we tied a string around the outside to keep them closed...but when I needed to get out, I had to ask to be released. Also, the second pool was closed right after Labor Day, the second day of our trip. It didn't matter, though, as the larger pool stayed open and was uncrowded. The toilet tanks took at least 5 minutes to fill up, so no chain-flushing allowed. The kitchen is dated and the stove had some numbers rubbed off so cooking was a little bit of a guessing game (I guessed right). Overall, this place is a great deal, in a great location and I would certainly recommend it."
