  • This is the Place...

"This is the place that you want to be at Carova Beach. A quick 1 minute drive or 5 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute drive to the boat launch. The location is perfect with lots of action from the resident horses. The house itself is also fantastic. Well maintained and as advertised with wireless internet & direct TV. The new kitchen looks great. Linens, towels, kitchen utensils, plates, etc. provided; all a major plus to a traveler. This was my 2nd stay here and have already booked a 3rd. Need I say more than that! I'd recommend this place to anyone & everyone."

  • Outerbanks the crusade!

"This was a really nice place, a true get away from the congested beach resort areas I have been to before. The little Cabin was cute, clean, with all the basic amenities a person could need, me my family, my inlaws, and our dog loved it. The cabin was only a skip away from the Beach and we saw horses everyday! Jan the owner was pleasant and helpful in answering all of my questions. This was my first trip to the outer banks and it was great! Now as to the trip to get to the Cabin -here's where the crusade part comes in - without the right vehicle (AWD and good ground clearance)and prayers the trip in would not have been possible. Our drive on the beach cost me the lower part of my front bumper, and the back roads leading to the homes collect giant pools of water, some feet deep. The way I see it adventure getting to this cottage made this made trip all the more memorable."

  • Peace and quiet, sandy roads and wild horses!

"My family and I decided to get out of town and spend Thanksgiving at the beach. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We had no trouble driving on the beach, even with a Ford Explorer. I would recommend driving (if possible) at low tide, as the harder beach is more exposed at that time. The house is great, complete with secure wireless and satellite TV. It's only a short walk to the beach. We saw wild horses, roaming freely around the house. The sandy roads and secluded feel is exactly what we were looking for!"

  • Great family vacation!!

"We loved our time at the cottage. It turned out that the "long" drive to get to the house was actually a blessing as we didn't feel the need to go to town near as much which resulted in our most relaxing vacation ever. Naps, food, games ! It was an amazing week. Horses within feet of my wife and I laying in the hammock to an amazing beach experience just minutes away with the jeep. The house was smaller than some we have stayed but our 6 adults and 3 kids had no issues with space. It was very nicely decorated and had newer appliances. The owner was very easy to deal with. All in all it ranks as one of our favorite trips ever!"
