  • Awesome Family Vacation!!!

"This was our families first time in OBX and we had a amazing time. The house was absolutely huge!!! The beds were comfortable beyond belief, the whole house was clean, neat, well stocked (way more than we expected) There was a nice extremely informative binder waiting on the kitchen counter for us with everything we would need to know while there for vacation. Plus each room had a sealed package of towels, wash clothes and hand towels were all provided we just brought our beach towels. Bed linens were also provided. we had a issue with the pool on Memorial day, i sent a text to Karen and she quickly responded and then sent someone out within a couple hours to fix it, we had another issue with the pool on another day and before the end of the day it was fixed again. Excellent and courteous service. The wild horses were abundant and were all around the house, the beach, ect, we have some amazing pictures. There is also a outdoor shower that is covered, private and....Has hot water...simply amazing as i was expecting only cold water. There are 4 main rooms that all have sliding glass doors that go out to the porches, 2nd level are right convenient to the hot tub and was clean, hot and comfortable (there were a couple of us that have never been in one so it was a true experience). Oh and there are beach chairs, seats, buckets after buckets of beach toys for the Children so don't worry about getting any of that to drag along to your vacation as it is all provided. Including swimming equipment, boogie boards, ect. the pool area has a abundant amount of tables, chairs, recliner chairs for sun bathing and a outside bar right under the deck! The whole house has Central zoned AC which kept us very comfortable. The kitchen is huge and well stocked with every pot, pan, dish, silverware, cup, wine glass, shot glasses, kids cups, little kids silverware ect. there is also a booster seat and a nice pack-n-play. hmmm....i don't know what else i may have forgotten...well anyways we are already booking this same Amazing place for next yr oh and it has amazing sunsets and sunrises and is not even a minute drive to the beach!!!!!!!! Thank You Karen for making a memorable Family Vacation we are all excited and counting down the days until we come next May!! You ROCK!!!!"

  • Loved this house

"This house surpassed my expectations. For the first time renting a beach home, I was in charge of finding a home that could accomodate 21 and an infant comfortably. This home was more spacious then we could of asked for. Our children had their own game room to play in and enjoed themselves for hours. the dorm couldn't of been a better place to have 7 teenage girls sleep and we never heard them once through the night. The pool side bar was a great place to lounge around while the kids swam and the pool deck had plenty of room for all of us to sunbathe when we were not on the beach. Cooking was easy in the kitchen and on the grill, and the added mini kitchen off the pool worked out great. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back renting this home again in 2012."

  • HUGE, updated house with pool, hot tub, chef's kitchen, MANY beds/bathrooms, 2 living rooms, kayaks

"My family and I stayed here in May 2013. We had never been to the Outer Banks before and didn't really know what to expect. OBX is amazing and a must-visit for anyone that enjoys traveling. The house is 9 miles from an actual road, which means you must drive on the beach to get to it. Yes, drive right on the beach! It's insane. There are wild horses running everywhere, pelicans flying by and it makes you feel like you're in another country! The house itself is beautiful. It's a large 3-story house with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms! It literally sleeps 12+ in beds! There are 2 living rooms and is perfect for either multiple families or a family that wants to send the kids downstairs and enjoy the rest of the house to themselves. There is a pool and a hot tub in the backyard and right on one of the sound inlets. There are kayaks and a row boat for use. We kayaked everyday and was so relaxing! The area is beyond peaceful, quiet and if you enjoy nature - this is the place to be. I hope to visit OBX again and if I do, I will not hesitate to stay here again. No question."

  • Great Time

"We had a wonderful time here; horses were visiting us every day, which was just amazing to watch and we all enjoyed photographing them. Beach access was perfect and we all enjoyed the pool. The kids loved it (all five of them) and want to come back. If you are bringing a baby, confirm with the owner that the crib is on the premises. We didn't do this; assumed it was there, and the first night without a baby bed was tough. However, we did pick up the crib the next day at their other property. Other than that, it was a glorious time! The house is awesome....has everything you need. Would definitely come back here!!"
