"This house was the best deal we could find for July and because it was relatively inexpensive compared to other rental homes in the area, we weren't expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the house was - especially the kitchen, the living room area and the 2nd floor master. This beach house had everything we needed and more! The pool was a good size, perfect for our large group. The house was also very close to the beach - just half a block from a protected pedestrian walkway to the beach entrance. The kitchen was well stocked with most of what we needed (we were also surprised that the knives were fairly sharp - something we've never found in a rental before). We also liked the location of the house - close to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and the lighthouse. Cheryl, the owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. We told her about an issue and it was resolved much faster than we expected. We had a really great time at this house! OBX is a very long drive for us, but we hope to return to "Go Barefoot" again someday."

"Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this was a great place to stay. The house is large and directly on the beach. However, it could use some more intense cleaning. There were cob webs in light fixtures and the windows could use an intense clean. Furthermore, the area around the pool could use some sand clean up."

  • Great location, family friendly place.

"Awesome condo, easy walk to the beach, pool, basketball courts, playground, shuffleboard, and beach volleyball. We could walk home for lunch. Great resort. Owners called within 1 hour after we ran into trouble with an AC repair guy. spacious 4 bedroom and can't wait to go back!! Very comfortable living space, beach chairs and toys in garage."

"This home was fantastic for a group with children. The pool was so much fun for our children. The Adults enjoyed the hot tube as well as the pool. We all had plenty of room for the large group to spread out. All rooms were clean and comfortable. I also was so happy that the beach was a short distance from the house. With 6 small children, I do believe is would be dangerous for us to keep a safe eye on all children. I would recommend this house to anyone with a group of children. Beaches were fantastic. Outer Banks was a enjoyable family vacation."
