"My family and I enjoyed one of our best vacations ever at The Salty Pause! The house was perfect for 6 adults and 4 children. The house was immaculate when we arrived and it just took our breath away when we walked up the stairs and saw the view from the open kitchen/family room/dining room! We had many fun cocktail hours on the deck! The beach is beautiful and having the outdoor shower and pool in the back yard was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, too! My 10 year old granddaughter would like us to buy The Salty Pause so we can all live there together forever!! We will definitely be back!!"

"Thank you Dennis and Julie for sharing your beautiful home with us again! "Wish you were here" is the perfect get away! The house is immaculate, comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated! We had everything we needed, and enjoyed every minute of our stay! We truly felt at home with the soft sheets and towels, nice hot showers in pretty bathrooms, fully appointed kitchen with top notch appliances, and we made good use of the laundry washer and and dryer. The beach is VERY close and easy to get to via the nice walkways in the neighborhood. We enjoyed the sunrises, pelicans/other sea birds, collecting shells and just sitting and reading on the beach. We used the beach cart, umbrella, chairs and cooler provided at the house. The weather was mostly in the low 70s and one day it was 87 degrees. The beach is quiet and used by couples and families ....We were further spoiled by the wonderful heated pool and top deck, where we took pictures of the sunset over the sound, saw the light from Currituck Lighthouse in the evenings, and one night we watched a huge ship pass by on the ocean. Other fun stuff included trips to Sanctuary Vineyards, Manteo (Elizabethan Gardens and Full Moon Brewery for lunch), Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (saw the beach house from the movie, Nights in Rodanthe, along the way), shopping in Corolla and Duck, and seafood takeout from Steamers. We are repeat guests (stayed July 2011 and May 2015) and highly recommend "Wish you were here"!"

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Our Mulligan was the perfect place for our first OBX vacation. It had everything to keep 4 busy kids entertained along with several big kids. It was gorgeous and clean. We couldn't have been more satisfied with our accommodations and opportunity to vacation with family."

"We loved this condo. It looks nice in the photos, but was much nicer in reality. It was absolutely spotless, appliances were new or like-new, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The rooms and closets were spacious, there was plenty of natural light, and a nice deck to boot. The DVD library had a nice collection of children's movies, which were nice to have on rainy afternoons/evenings. Since we were there in the off-season and the pool was not yet open, it was very quiet. I'm not sure how different that would be during peak season. The only (minor) inconvenience was the lack of a cutting board. But otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay here!
Oh, and Jacqueline was also great about giving us recommendations for what to do with young children if it was too cold to go in the water (which it was)!"
