  • Perfect Retreat for a Week-Long Stay With Large Family

"My family rented this place July 4th week and while a busy week for the OBX to begin with, this place was well-situated between Currituck Golf Club & shops, Corolla Light House, the quaint waterfront of Duck and Nags Head. If all you want to do is sit back and relax, you can! Whether by the pool or at the beach for the afternoon, take your pick. Read a few books (yes, a few!). Go play golf, shop, or ride a bike. In fact, we biked to the Currituck Club shops for coffee one morning & biked back. Awesome. The facility itself is well-appointed and perfect for a large family or two family groups. The kids had a ball in the pool, at the beach, or watching TV in the den. The dining room table is HUGE. Play cards, do magic tricks, or eat. Take your pick! Very VERY comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!"

  • Waterlily review

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful vacation. Waterlily is a great house with beautiful views and very close to beach. Very nicely furnished. My only recommendations would be a new stove. One of the burners did not work and it looked very used. I would definitely recommend this property."

  • Family Vacation

"The Pine Island area is very nice - great trails, tennis courts and pools; it was a nice change of pace from the beach. The house was nicely decorated. The sunroom off the kitchen was a great place to read or enjoy some quiet time. The kitchen was well appointed - it was super helpful that the cabinets were marked with its contents. The game room in the lower level was a big hit with the kids. The room darkening blinds are an added bonus - no one wants to wake up to early on vacation. However, the mattress in our bedroom (LL - Queen) was one of the worst mattresses I have ever spent a night on. It was in very bad shape - springs sticking out and collapsing in the middle. I also have to question if it was actually a queen sized bed - it appeared to be a full. My sons stayed in the room with the daybeds and there were visible, rusty springs sticking out of the trundle mattress. I cannot speak on the condition of the other beds, but the owners could really stand to invest in some new mattresses for the LL rooms. There was a maintenance problem when we arrived (leaking outside pipe) that caused the bedroom floor in the LL daybed room to be soaked. The owner knew about the problem prior to arrival and had it taken care of the next day. With that, the LL was very damp and humid. I am not sure if it was due to the water soaking the carpet or if it is always like that because it is the LL. A dehumidifier would do wonders down there."
