"Our group was looking for a quiet, relaxed spot to get away and do some fishing. The Outer Banks fit the bill.
From first correspondence, Chris was a pleasure to work with. She wrote back quickly, providing us the information we required and was incredibly accommodating through our day of arrival, when our arrival time was uncertain. After we got there, with a set of sheets missing (separate sheet delivery service/ fee), Chris took the lead again, and made sure we had what we needed within an hour.
The pictures really don't do this house justice. The house is fantastic. The newly renovated kitchen has everything you need - spacious countertops for cooking, new pots and pans, new refrigerator - and was perfect for our stay. The rooms are all well spaced out, giving lots of privacy. The pool and the hot tub were visited twice while we were there for maintenance, and are pristine. From sitting on the top floor deck (incredible panoramic view - I took a video of it) to sitting by the pool, we found so many spots to congregate.
The house itself is set off from a small development on Route 12 (you can't see the neighbors from the deck), and was a five minute walk to the beach. Chris has supplied all sorts of toys for the kids (or the kid in you), including boogie boards, beach chairs, pails, etc., which, yes, we did take advantage of. There is also a new BBQ downstairs - use it! It's excellent. (Chris, one recommendation: may want to provide a steel brush for cleaning this new beauty.)
If you want access to all of the Outer Banks northern amenities - or if you just want to enjoy the beauty of the Outer Banks without the Nags Head/ Kitty Hawk crowds - you really can't beat this house. The price is a steal. (Suggestion: use the money you save to treat yourself to dinner at The Blue Point - highly recommend.)
Thanks, Chris, for a terrific vacation."
